On October 3rd, 2011, Warren Buffet hosted a fund-raising shindig at the Four Season restaurant in Manhattan for President Obama. According to the New York Times the $10,000 a head dinner saw its share of empty seats.
Of the 130 seats arranged by the Democrat Campaign, only 116 showed up. This suggests the TIMES is a reflection on Osama’s broader struggles in attracting big-name support from those on Wall Street.
The Wall Street elite who did attend paid ( $10,000 ) a plate, or ( $35,800 ) if they wanted one on one time with Mr. Buffet. One attendee told the Times there seemed to be more Buffet fans than Obama supporters.
The Obama campaign said they consider the event a success, pointing to the fact that the dinner raised ( $1.5 MILLION ) for the hope to re-elect this President who stands before the world and condemns the filthy rich, but has NO PROBLEM taking their money, when it benefits him.
Here we have a person who on one hand cries….”Level the playing field “ . “ Lets get those fat cat bankers to share their wealth with the less fortunate.” But only when he makes a speech to garnish votes from the less fortunate he asks to support him again.
Finally I wondered ….How many poor people would $1.5 Million Dollars Feed. I did the math. At $50.00 per person, that fund raiser would have fed…(30,000) of his supporters who many have never ate a $50.00 Dinner.
When you go to the polls in Nov 2012, keep that in mind when you hear this person cry out how we should be sharing our good fortunes with others. Only if it were TRUE !
