before i go...what is going on with the bingo and paul pontoius . is he ever haved to answer the questins that he was asked.

please let me know, i am hoping justice will be done or else end it altogether. did he really take the money from charity...if he did, i hope he is punished.

To Our Friends and Neighbors.

As I have told it to many new residents, at each new resident orientation that Tricia Adams invited me to speak,  ‘Lake Ashton is, without a doubt, the best place in the United States to retire.

Most of you know that some weeks ago I was diagnosed as having a rather large cancerous brain tumor that was compressing my optic nerve and preventing me from enjoying the many things and activities, which I love.

I want to tell you that I underwent successful surgery on Monday, and the current prognosis looks favorable for an eventual return to a normal life.

It would be impossible for us to individually thank the hundreds of Lake Ashton residents who continually called, sent cards and letters of hope and cheer, and kept us continually and diligently in their prayers.

We would like to say, “THANK YOU here and now, and especially to those residents we barely knew.  We cannot even remotely express what those actions have meant to us throughout this ordeal.

I am up and about, and I shall in the future endeavor to continue to haunt you by whispering the voice of reason in your collective ears.

Restaurant Lease

       

On second thought.....the question that should be asked of  Flint and Carpenter.

If the CDD and Developer agreed  HE PAY  the  CDD  $50,000  per year for the Restaurant Lease..... Is there any- where in the agreement that he can control any or all of the Services to the residents ?  Days and Hours of Service?

Ponds

Bob Cruz, Since you have emailed me in the past with your concerns regarding the ATROCIOUS conditions of the ponds the Developer has totally neglected, I took a ride around the course this evening and I can not agree more with your concerns. This is NOT what we were promised by Maxwell and Schrieber. My suggestion is: Have Mr Flint pay the Applied Aquadicts to treat these areas. They REEK with Muck, and overgrowth, ugly to look at and I think unhealthy as well, to Birds and Animal life as well as residents. Subtract the cost from the balance the CDD owes him along with the cost to repair the GAME ROOM as discussed. If not ....I believe a report to the local Health Dept / Environmental Authorities and Local News Medias should be made aware of Maxwell and Schriebers way of treating the residents of LA... Taking Down The Bird Feeder

 

You can always count on Maxine to put things into perspective

 

This is the best analogy yet!

Leave it to Maxine to come up with a solution

For the mess that   America    is now in economically.

I bought a bird feeder. I hung

It on my back porch and filled

It with seed. What a beauty of

A bird feeder it was, as I filled it

lovingly with seed. Within a

Week we had hundreds of birds

Taking advantage of the

Continuous flow of free and

Easily accessible food.

But then the birds started

Building nests in the boards

Of the patio, above the table,

And next to the barbecue.

Then came the poop. It was

Everywhere: on the patio tile,

The chairs, the table ..

Everywhere!

Then some of the birds

Turned mean. They would

Dive bomb me and try to

Peck me even though I had

Fed them out of my own

Pocket.

And others birds were

Boisterous and loud. They

Sat on the feeder and

Squawked and screamed at

All hours of the day and night

And demanded that I fill it

When it got low on food.

After a while, I couldn't even

Sit on my own back porch

Anymore.  So I took down the

Bird feeder and in three days

The birds were gone. I cleaned

Up their mess and took down

The many nests they had built

All over the patio.

Soon, the back yard was like

It used to be .... Quiet, serene....

And no one demanding their

Rights to a free meal.

Now let's see.

Our government gives out

Free food, subsidized housing,

Free medical care and free

Education, and allows anyone

Born here to be an automatic

Citizen.

Then the illegal's came by the

Tens of thousands.  Suddenly

Our taxes went up to pay for

Free services; small apartments

Are housing 5 families; you

Have to wait 6 hours to be seen

By an emergency room doctor;

Your child's second grade class is

Behind other schools because

Over half the class doesn't speak

English.

Corn Flakes now come in a

Bilingual box; I have to

'press one ' to hear my bank

Talk to me in English, and

People waving flags other

Than 'Old Glory' are

Squawking and screaming

In the streets, demanding

More rights and free liberties.

Just my opinion, but maybe

it's time for the government

To take down the bird feeder.

If you agree, pass it on; if not,

Just continue cleaning up the poop

'LIFE' THOUGHTS BY 'DUCKY'  What happened to the box of chocolates in life............................ I saw a woman wearing a sweat shirt with 'Guess' on it. So I said 'Implants?'  She hit me. Marriage changes passion. Suddenly you're in bed with a relative. Now that food has replaced sex in my life, I can't even get into my own pants. How come we choose from just two people to run for president and over fifty for Miss America  ? When I was young we used to go 'skinny dipping,' now I just 'chunky dunk.' I signed up for an exercise class and was told to wear loose fitting clothing.  If I HAD any loose fitting clothing, I wouldn't have signed up in the first place! Wouldn't it be nice if whenever we messed up our life we could simply press 'Ctrl Alt Delete' and start all over?  AMEN, AMEN! Don't argue with an idiot; people watching may not be able to tell the difference. Wouldn't you know it.... Brain cells come and brain cells go, but FAT cells live forever. Why is it that our children can't read a Bible in school, but they can in prison? A completely brilliant question!!!!!!! Bumper sticker of the year:  'If you can read this, thank a teacher -  and, since it's in English, thank a soldier' Why do I have to swear on the Bible in court when the Ten Commandments cannot be displayed outside? Another completely brilliant question!!!! And remember: Life is like a roll of toilet paper. The closer it gets to the end, the faster it goes.

Could this be true?  I'd say so.

Our Goverment National debt

We are so much in debt that if we pay $100,000,000 a day to pay off the debt, it would take 389 years to pay it off.  This is hard to believe but it is true.
