BINGO AND THOSE WHO HELD OFFICE

Wonder why so many are reluctant to hold Paul Pontious and the HOA BOD accountable - it is because many are, or were, HOA Board members.  

Who were they?  Let’s start in June 2006 when Bingo became the responsibility of the HOA to the present:

All of these people have known that as of June 2006, EXACTLY who owned and who was responsible for the Bingo operation.  To make things worst, they were taught how to run Bingo legally by Jessie Ayers but still these Board members clearly refused to follow the law.  

If that doesn't get  your attention, how about that many were also heavily involved in Bingo, either in its running or as volunteers, and their elections were backed by Bingo Funding. Consider the current ONLY four people running for the remaining 4 seats on the HOA BOD - ALL have been closely associated with Bingo and its misuse of funds.  

For example, Frank Ota, LAVA Commander, PROMISED the Residents of Lake Ashton, that the veterans memorial would NOT cost the Residents of LA anything.  Remember that pledge?  However, not only did Frank Ota received funds from Bingo, he has never paid the CDD for its use of the LA electricity grid; it is the CDD who is responsible for paying all bills for our community, and Frank Ota never paid the CDD a single penny. 

This wasn’t an accident.  As you know many of us have been talking to the HOA BOD for several years now about this issue, and HOA BOD continue to profess they did nothing wrong AND that we simply didn’t know what we were talking about.  The HOA BOD, as recently as 14 Nov 2010, stated as public policy that ‘they’ had investigated the Bingo issue and no wrong doing occurred.  It’s hard to now say ‘opps’ made a mistake or ‘didn’t know’ once law enforcement got involved. 

So, do we believe the HOA BOD when they stated in their 14 Nov 2010 policy letter that they did an investigation etc and there was no wrong doing OR do we believe them now when an outside light is shinned on them OR do we believe what the public records tell us, OR do we believe Dan Perry, the HOA lawyer who signs the same song as the HOA?  OR do you believe your own eyes when you read the documents that tell the true story?

A group of us have been attempting to educate the Residents as to what is really going on – our information and concerns is backed by public records, documents etc, yet who is marginalized, harassed with death threats and demonized by those who do not want the truth to be made public  .. it is we, the few whistle blowers are the ones who are demonized by those who do not want the truth uncovered.  Such intentional hostile and targeted hate mongering has now made Lake Ashton a hostile living environment for those who attempted to bring this issue to the attention of the HOA several years ago.

Think about it – 3 years ago IF the HOA BOD did their job and corrected things, this issue would have been long over.  All the Board members involved are educated and highly educated, some even have degrees in Criminology etc .. in short, the HOA board members aren’t stupid.  The Bingo laws are written VERY clear so that anyone who can read can understand them.  So why the cover up and the intentional harassment of a few who were attempting to right a wrong?

Since 11 Jan 2011 when the PCSO stated that there were NUMEROUS crimes committed, the HOA BOD still hasn’t publicly, personally or in writing, apologized to those of us who were telling the truth.  The omission of an apology from the HOA BOD, who are highly educated people, further highlights their contempt and arrogance.

It takes a bit of due diligence, but I encourage all residents to read the HOA minutes from 2006 to present.  They will see who held elected positions and knew how to run Bingo correctly yet they intentional turned a blind eye. 

If anyone wants to review the records I have, please contact me to discern for yourself, and not what your neighbors, friends or what the HOA BOD told you.  See for yourself, from public records alone, what the HOA BOD has known about Bingo since 2006.  When you get done, I am sure you will see this entire situation differently.

Safety and Security Reminder

This is a reminder to Lake Ashton residents to always lock their home and car doors, set security alarms, and safeguard valuables at all times. Lake Ashton has programs in place like gate attendants and patrols, C.A.P. and Neighborhood Watch that are great deterrents to crime, but these additional steps are simple ways to help prevent crime and keep Lake Ashton a safe community. Thank you for your cooperation! They won't tell you homes and cars are being broken into, they just tell you to lock up.  What a bunch of jerks running Lake Ashton.  That is why there are so many  SECURITY PEOPLE GOING UP AND DOWN THE STREET.

Letter to Barbara Follett

You are indeed the biggest jerk and the most hated person in the most corrupted community in Florida.  The developer steels his animals heads,  MX is still active,  lawyers are paid for doing nothing, money missing, not a private community,  Residents must pay for repair of public roads, Bingo Paul steels from Bingo players,  No place for motor homes to park, No one goes to meetings anymore,  When you move in you are told this is a private community, lies and more lies, on and on and on.  Stay where you are, crooks love crooks,  What else can you steal?  Where I am more than 40-50 homes are being build under contract.  This place is 100% private, for residents only.  Lake Ashton is the best place to lied to residents, everyone is welcome.   Homes are being broken into, yet you people shut- up about this.  All they do is lied and steal.  I was talking to my friends here and believe me they don't want you here.  We have free coffee every morning, free pop corn at Bingo.  Only $5.00 for cards.  Jackpot is $250.00 for residents only.  How much is Bingo stealing?  Did Bingo Paul take you out to lunch Barbara Follett?  What have you done for this community?  NOTHING,  but bitch, bitch and give residents a very hard time.  You are the lowest type of resident in Lake Ashton.

Missing Condo Funds

For years, acting as the president of a suburban West Palm Beach condo association, Harold Hart went to the treasurer of the association for her signature.
While suffering from diabetes, obesity, heart ailments and arthritis, the woman would sign her name away on checks, allowing the association’s money to go elsewhere without an explanation from Hart.
After the woman passed away, Hart started to sign her name himself.
Now, years later, Hart admitted to cashing those checks into his personal bank accounts, but again, without an explanation of what the money was used for.
Hart, 86, was arrested Sunday on a charge of organized fraud and grand theft. He was once the president of the Sussex C Condominiums, which is located west of Interstate 95 and north of Okeechobee Boulevard. After admitting to the fraud at a board meeting, he was demoted to acting president.
Palm Beach County Sheriff’s deputies found that the fraudulent acts started in 2008 and continued through last year. However, Hart admitted to the fraud going back to 2006.
Deputies were notified in February 2012 by condo owner Howard O’Brien, who said that Hart denied him access to the association’s bank records. O’Brien then spoke with deputies again in March 2012 to notify them that Hart admitted to misappropriating $32,390.86 from the association’s accounts. He said at the meeting that the money was deposited into an account in Tallahassee, according to a sheriff’s probable cause affidavit.
Investigators then met with the association’s new president, Elizabeth McDaniel, who said that she found the association’s account had only $956 in it. She also found that Hart couldn’t even keep up with his maintenance bill, as he issued a check that later bounced.
Deputies continued investigating and found that the checks were signed by Hart and Anna Randazzo, a board member.
Randazzo died in August 2011, however, her signature was still appearing on the association’s checks after that.
Randazzo’s son, Joseph Randazzo, told deputies that his mother was the acting treasurer for a number of years until she died. She suffered from multiple ailments and was hooked up to an oxygen machine for about six months before she died.
Randazzo told deputies that Hart would come into his mother’s room requesting her signature on the association’s checks. Because she trusted Hart, she never asked him what the checks were for.
Deputies then spoke with Hart in July 2012. Hart said to them, “how much money are we talking about,” and when deputies answered, he corrected them with what he thought the correct amount was.
Hart admitted to depositing about $33,000 into his Bank of America account and explained that he was using the money to pay vendors in cash.
When asked why he wouldn’t just use the association’s account, Hart said, “It seemed like the way to do it at the time,” the affidavit says. Hart did not give deputies an explanation as to where the money was or what it was used for.
The association has gotten back most of the stolen money from their insurance company, said O’Brien, who is now the association’s treasurer.
He said that he never suspected Hart of doing such a crime as he was a “nice guy that everybody liked.”
He offered advice to other condo owners: “Any owner has to be aware of the financial status of their association and always request everything they’re allowed to request following the Florida statutes.”

Please advise the status of MX.  As you know, your attorney, (Dan Perry) who protects only the BOD and not the residents, has collected a substantial about of money, from Residents; to date, we are unaware of a case being filed, yet the collection process goes on. Is this just a joke and a way for your attorney to scam money from residents?

If you were doing your due diligence, you would have sourced another attorney, that would have informed you that this process has been blown out of portion and is just another scam.

To the CDD

You were advised last year, by our committee; that the $550,000 spent on road repair, would be ineffective and that it would have to be redone the following year for the same or greater cost, since it only addressed a symptom vice the cause of our failing road system.

Additionally, roadways not addressed continued to further decline. 

You had an opportunity, while the developer was still here, to address this major construction failure, legally.   Yet, based upon two CCD members, you failed to do so as a result of the private, financial and personal agendas with the developer.

Is it possible that you are interested enough in this community now, to now listen to an asphalt company with solid credentials, take their advice and implement, before, you bankrupt this community.

Can you belive the arrogance of some golfers ...

This note is in response to an anonymous, harassing letter I received from 16 of your golf members, (copy provided below) which I have turned over to the Sheriff’s office for finger printing, identification and prosecution.  

This anonymous letter from cowards highlights the extent of their arrogance and disregard for private property.  I request that golf members who are caught trespassing, be removed from future play and banned from play at the Lake Ashton Golf course and that they lose any and all membership fees.  

Please post this anonymous harassing letter in conjunction with this letter. 

You and your golf course players need to read, understand and heed, the below article; I will hold both the Trespasser and the Golf Course accountable, when players trespass into my property. Ignorance is no excuse.  

As you know, I have been in contact with you for some time now and you have done nothing, as I can ascertain, to instruct your members accordingly.  

Please post this letter in your spaces so that EVERY Golfer can be made aware.

No home owner should have to tolerate people walking all over ones property, in between homes, not to mention those who look/glare, ‘peak’ into windows etc ..

Summary of article:  NOTE:  TRESPASS; GOLF COURSES:  Recurrent entry of golf balls onto Homeowners’ property constitutes a continuing trespass.  There is no viable "House on the Golf Course" defense.   You can't claim the owner was asking for it when he bought that beautiful house on the 12th fairway.  Also, the existence of property insurance is NEVER determinative in assessing liability.  You can’t even mention the existence of an insurance policy in court except as evidence to establish ownership.  There are no ifs and or buts about it, if you break someone’s window with your golf ball… run away like a child and deny it was you… I mean break out your checkbook and pony up.

I represent a group of 16 golfers, who play almost daily, on the Lake Ashton
courses.

We have noticed that very often, as we play the 16th hole of The East
Course, your lawn sprinklers are running, in direct violation of Southwest
Florida Water Management District water restrictions. Since this seems to
be an ongoing practice, on your part, we feel it is our responsibility to report
each and every such violation to the proper authorities.

We recognize that you have the right to irrigate on Thursdays and
Sundays before 10:00 AM and after 4:00 PM, and we will certainly ignore
irrigation usage during those windows. But for all other days, your violations
will be promptly reported.

We hope that you will take this as merely a "heads-up" and conform to the
requirements of the city, for the good of all residents.

Jack, why don't you hold the hand of Bingo Paul and get out of politics.  You are no longer loved by the residents of Lake Wales.  You are a loser!  Call the cops is your motto.  That is all you and your wife can do.  What a hell of a community Lake Ashton is, a community run by dumb school teachers, people who love to call the cops on their residents, and people who just love to tell people what to do.  No wonder people are not going to the meetings, to hear a bunch of crap and look at the witch Thish Adams.  They have destroyed this community.

Yellow lights flashing, securing golf carts going past your house and the police car going by.  What the hell is this all about?  They won't tell you but crime in Lake Ashton is still going on at a high rate.  House break-ins, car broken into and mail boxes mail being taken.  They will never tell you and golfers being attack by alligators.  Sorry, this place is the best.  BEST WHAT?  Only a fool will believe all the crap in the L A News.  No fishing off the bridge, register your guest.  What a friendly paper.  It tells you NOTHING.
