So Simple a caveman could understand:

Subject: FW: So Simple a caveman could understand:
See what is happening to all of us.
So Simple a caveman could understand:
Why did Bernie Madoff go to prison? To make it simple, he talked people into investing with him. Trouble was, he didn't invest their money. As time rolled on he simply took the money from the new investors to pay off the old investors. Finally there were too many old investors and not enough money from new investors coming in to keep the payments going.
Next thing you know Madoff is one of the most hated men in America and he is off to jail. Some of you know this but not enough of you.
Madoff did to his investors what the government has been doing to us for over 70 years with Social Security. There is no meaningful difference between the two schemes, except that one was operated by a private individual who is now in jail, and the other is operated by politicians who enjoy perks, privileges and status in spite of their actions.
Do you need a side-by-side comparison here? Well here's a nifty little chart.
BERNIE MADOFF
SOCIAL SECURITY
Takes money from investors with the promise that the money will be invested and made available to them later.
Takes money from wage earners with the promise that the money will be invested in a "Trust Fund" and made available later.
Instead of investing the money Madoff spends it on nice homes in theHamptons and yachts.
Instead of depositing money in a Trust Fund the politicians use it for general spending and vote buying.
When the time comes to pay the investors back Madoff simply uses some of the new funds from newer investors to pay back the older investors.
When benefits for older investors become due the politicians pay them with money taken from younger and newer wage earners to pay the geezers.
When Madoff's scheme is discovered all hell breaks loose. New investors won't give him any more cash.
When Social Security runs out of money they simply force the taxpayers to send them some more.
Bernie Madoff is in jail.
Politicians remain in Washington .
'The taxpayer: That's someone who works for the federal government but doesn't have to take the civil service examination. '

At first glance, it looks like a giant child armed with a box of crayons has been set loose upon the landscape. Vivid stripes of purple, yellow, red, pink, orange and green make up A glorious patchwork. Yet far from being a child's sketchbook, this is, in fact, the northern Netherlands in the middle of tulip season. The Dutch landscape in May is a kaleidoscope of color as the tulips burst into life. The bulbs are planted in late October and early November. More than three billion tulips are grown each year and two-thirds of the vibrant blooms are exported, mostly to the U.S. and Germany . Their dazzling colors are thanks to the years in the 17th century when tulip mania swept the globe and the most eye-catching specimens changed hands for a small fortune. But like a Rainbow, this colorful landscape is a short-lived phenomenon. When the flowers are gone, the land will be cultivated for a rather more mundane crop of vegetables. The Netherlands |
In memory
If I get this a hundred times, I'll forward it a hundred times
In memory of our moms, dads, brothers and sisters, aunts, uncles, daughters, sons, friends and loved ones of whom there are so many...and those fighting it today...
This year has been one with too many diagnoses too close to home. For all the friends, family, loved ones, and those we don't even know...
Friday is world cancer day - I'd appreciate it if you will forward this request
93% won't forward
A small request.. Just one line.
Dear God, I pray for a cure for cancer. Amen
All you are asked to do is keep this circulating, even if it's only to one more person.
In memory of anyone you know who has been struck down by cancer or is still living with it.

Congressional Reform Act
Congressional Reform Act of 2011
The 26th amendment (granting the right to vote for 18 year-olds) took
only 3 months & 8 days to be ratified! Why? Simple! The people
demanded it. That was in 1971...before computers, before e-mail,
before cell phones, etc.
Of the 27 amendments to the Constitution, seven (7) took 1 year or
less to become the law of the land...all because of public pressure.
I'm asking each addressee to forward this email to a minimum of twenty
people on their address list; in turn ask each of those to do
likewise.
In three days, most people in The United States of America will have
the message. This is one idea that really should be passed around.
Congressional Reform Act of 2011
1. Term Limits.
12 years only, one of the possible options below..
A. Two Six-year Senate terms
B. Six Two-year House terms
C. One Six-year Senate term and three Two-Year House terms
2. No Tenure / No Pension.
A Congressman collects a salary while in office and receives no pay
when they are out of office.
3. Congress (past, present & future) participates in Social Security.
All funds in the Congressional retirement fund move to the Social
Security system immediately. All future funds flow into the Social
Security system, and Congress participates with the American people.
4. Congress can purchase their own retirement plan, just as all Americans do.
5. Congress will no longer vote themselves a pay raise. Congressional
pay will rise by the lower of CPI or 3%.
6. Congress loses their current health care system and participates in
the same health care system as the American people.
7. Congress must equally abide by all laws they impose on the American people.
8. All contracts with past and present Congressmen are void effective 1/1/11.
The American people did not make this contract with Congressmen.
Congressmen made all these contracts for themselves.
Serving in Congress is an honor, not a career. The Founding Fathers
envisioned citizen legislators, so ours should serve their term(s),
then go home and back to work.
If each person contacts a minimum of twenty people then it will only
take three days for most people (in the U.S. ) to receive the message.
Maybe it is time.
THIS IS HOW YOU FIX CONGRESS!!!!! If you agree with the above, pass it
on. If not, just delete

Boynton Beach condo residents locked out of pool and clubhouse All are being punished for foreclosures that don't pay, residents claim

The condos, along with Quail Run's villa and single-family home developments, form a community of 293 residences, all under the umbrella of the master association.
Changing the locks infuriated condo owners who have been paying dues on time to their condo board, which, in turn, paid about $90 per unit to the master association.

that weren't paying at all. The association then started paying only for those current in their fees, according to a lawsuit filed against it by the master association.
The condo association is about $17,000 delinquent in its payments, according to Dick Cappello, the Quail Run master association's legal liaison and villa association president. The total includes fees beyond community amenities.
Condo owner Kathryn Adgate can no longer play cards at the clubhouse or take a dip in the pool even though she's current in her fees. If she sneaks in as a guest, the 90-year-old risks having the police called on her for trespassing in her own neighborhood.
She's disappointed that social activities near home are indefinitely off-limits. What will she now do for recreation? "Nothing, truthfully," Adgate said.

Boynton Beach police said no incidents at Quail Run have been reported.
Moreover, owners of Quail Run villas have been warned not to allow their condo friends in to use the pool, clubhouse or other amenities or face a $100 fine.
The master association acted under a Florida law effective in July, allowing association boards to take such action against condo owners who are more than 90 days in default.
"The law is fairly new. I expect that this is going to happen even more in the future," said Bill Raphan, supervisor of the state's Office of the Condominium Ombudsman in Fort Lauderdale. "This is probably just the beginning."
"[The law] gives you some teeth to try to convince someone that they should be paying," Cappello said. "It's not a good situation."
Condo owners should press their own board for action against owners of the foreclosed units instead of withholding full payment to the master association, he said.
Quail Run's villa and single-family home communities also have foreclosed properties, but those associations pay their dues in full, covering the foreclosed owners who do not pay, he said.
Mike Katz, a condo owner, said the condo association placed liens on the foreclosed units, and that otherwise the condo association's hands are tied. If any of the remaining 90 owners stop paying because they're locked out of facilities, they could face the same action.
Condo association attorney Christopher Meyer could not be reached for comment despite attempts by phone and e-mail.
However, a Nov. 15 letter from Christopher Sajdera, then the condo association attorney, states that the condo association acts only as a collecting agent and that "the association is not responsible for the individual owners' assessments owed to the Master Association."
Still, the master association has a viable argument, according to Gary Poliakoff, a specialist in community association law and adjunct professor at Nova Southeastern University law school.
If the association didn't pay its full electric bill, for example, Florida Power & Light Co. could cut off service, he said.
"It's a harsh reality of today's environment in that owners contributing are going to have to pick up the bad debt of owners and banks not paying," said Poliakoff. "The alternative is the suppliers and vendors and others providing services would have to allow the association to pay less than they're contractually obligated to pay, and they're not going to do that.
"Those 96 [condo owners] should be very pleased it's not worse than that. Pick up the slack, enjoy the amenities and deal with the reality of today's economy," Poliakoff said.
Dick DeNicola, a Quail Run condo owner for 20 years, thinks it's all "just nuts."
"I can't imagine being forced to pay for something I can't use," DeNicola said. "I understand they're getting tough on the economy, but I can't for the life of me see why we can't use the facilities when we're paying up to date."
Haas Gallaway said: "It's like a bunch of little kids. 'You slap me and I slap you.' The net result is everybody loses. We almost feel like second-class citizens."

Jan & George,
After a meeting with our group of LA 1 residents recently the following Public Records Requests are being made to both of you , along with each member of the Lake Ashton 1 CDD board of Supervisors.
I am in receipt of the check received by Lake Ashton CDD in the amount of
$508,940.75 that was paid on 12-28-04 , due to Hurricane Charlie on 8-13-04.
I am also in receipt of letters sent to the Developers Council on 4-25-2010 and 6-23-2010, that to date have been ignored by them.
In an attempt to avert entering in legal action against the Developer and or LA CDD , we are requesting the following.
1: Minutes of the CDD board meetings that approved all actions taken by them regarding this claim.
2: Copies of all Checks paid along with canceled checks received by any service provider named in the attached claim.
After receiving this requested data, we will decide whether additional information is required.
Our concerned group of LA residents feel this is something that should have pursued by LA council, LA District Mgr, and CDD supervisors. This is not a new request. I made the request while serving on the board as minutes will prove, and a member / resident made this request several times in the past to NO AVAIL ??
We can / will wait no longer , permitting 7 year time period to pass us by for obtaining this information and take legal action if needed.
Our requests are valid. The residents are the CDD and if there is nothing to hide by the developer, he should have responded within a year since first asked.
Please add this item to your next CDD agenda, and CC a copy to each board member.
Sincerely ,

WE GOTTA GET THIS BUM OUT OF OFFICE....LAKE WALES IS IN MORE TROUBLE NOW THAN IT EVER WAS. THEN PONTIOUS, ROSS IS ALREADY GONE...WE ARE WINNING THE WAR...ONE DOWN, THREE TO GO. EVERYWHERE YOU GO, BINGO, HOA, CDD AND POT LUCK, THE PONTIOUS'S ARE THERE. ALL I GOT TO SAY IS GET OUT OF HERE BEFORE THE HAMMER FALLS.
Betty's Credentials are here to read, and with John Chickness letter to the Ledger and the Lake Wales News , it will have a great impact on those who read it.
Many of the LA residents read this blog daily. Many wont admit it, but they look forward to the news and comments.
Its the only place where they hear the TRUTH.....
Now they are hearing the Developer has screwed us yet again with the Insurance Claim. Maybe when enough people wise up, they will throw the developer out of here for good! Providing he does not declare Bankruptcy first !

Betty Wojcik
As a resident of Lake Wales, and Lake Ashton Community since 2002 , I have followed closely the elections, for Mayor and Commissioners.
With the State of our economy attempting to reverse the negative trend in Business Growth and Citizens Welfare, we must be certain we elect those who will guide the community to a much better place than what we have experienced in the past 4 years.
The time is now to bring in leadership who’s agenda is to do more than just talk about improvements in every
Area of government and explain the method in which that can be accomplished.
After meeting with Betty Wojcik , candidate for Lake Wales City Commission Seat 4, District 27N , and hearing the many positive approaches she has for the betterment of Lake Wales , I am convinced she is the proven leader who can get the job done.
Not only is Betty Wojcik the present Executive Director of the Lake Wales Chamber of Commerce, but in reviewing her background in her field of leadership she has excelled in every commerce and community
Development position she has held for the past 35 years.
When one reads of Bettys credentials in Economic Development Management, we find a leader who will not only strive to improve Lake Wales City Business Development , but one who believes in PEOPLE who she is ready to listen to with open arms. The citizens of Lake Wales certainly deserve no less from their leaders !
On April 5th, please make certain we not longer vote for those who wish to remain as status quo. Vote for proven leaders like Betty Wojick for Lake Wales City Commission.
Sincerely,
John L Chickness Sr.
