Did you see how fast he reacted to the damage awning at the restaurant! If this happens on your home do you think he will be right there ASAP. What does Joe Hunter do? Please tell me. I am in the dark. After all these years, I been here I still don't know. There are so many excellent honest directors out there looking for work.
You tell me why he allowed Bingo Paul to write a full page of all the things he did illegal, at that time he did not know it was illegal. Yet in the LA Times it said only 150 words are allow or less. Only his good and devoted friends are allow to do the thing we are not allow to do. He wants $375.00 for me to put a show on for charity. Is he off his rocker. Joe Hunter must go and soon. He has no love for no one, no love at all. What a waste of money.
Good-by Joe. We won't miss you

Joe Hunter and the restaurant
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
On Wednesday after heavy rains and strong winds, the Lake Ashton Restaurant's roof collapsed (by the pool). On Friday Joe Hunter was with the company to repair it. Why, because is not good business for the Boss, If the roof collapse in a resident house, Joe H. wouldn't do a thing.
You got that right!!!!!!

Carlton Arms
400 units are loaded with Chinese dry wall. Everyone must move. Thats over 800 people and a cost of $100,000 per unit. Is this place owned by our developer? I Think so. Man has he got problems. Total cost $40,000,000 for repairs.
Carlton Arms is on Route 27 about 5 miles away from Lake Ashton.

MISSING MONEY
The last hurricane we had was 5 years ago, it did 1 Million dollars worth of damage to the club house. Would you believe $500,000 of it is missing! The reason I bring this up is because this latest storm we had last week did a lot of damage. Rain came in from the roof and the awning was blown from the mounting brackets. When they check the expanse record books, they found out that there was money missing. $500,000 missing. I think we should put all the management personal on trail. Maybe we should send Joe Hunter a registered letter.
Yes, there are a lot of dishonest personal here at Lake Ashton. Everybody is steeling money from everybody. Wait until you get your Maintenance bill.

I was in Maine when I got a registered letter
Typical of Joe Hunter, all he does is takes a person word and he sends a person a registered letter. He just loves to scare you, and makes you miserable, and he call this place Paradise. Yes I was in Maine, 1500 miles away for a month when this joker sends me a registered letter telling me the date of the insistent. I send all the CDD board members a letter and my copy of the air flight but nothing was done. This Joker "do nothing" still sending out registered letters like they going out of style. Joe Hunter must go. He has no respect for the residents of Lake Ashton. Let me remind you he had no state of Florida license to be a community director. He does nothing to help you with your problem. NOTHING
Notice from the Bird & Nature Club
Dear Bird & Nature Club,
I am sorry to report that the Killdeer's eggs are no longer in the nest. It is quite possible that being out in such an exposed area that a snake or raccoon, or another predator got them. Thanks to Norm, for his lovely photo and his report (even though sad).
I was told that Joe Hunter run out of eggs for breakfast and run out to the boat dock and grab a few from the Killdeer nest. What a rotten thing to do. I think its time to send him a registered letter.

Joe Hunter
Joe, why don't you get the facts right. Send Roger Burton and Larry Radcliff a registered letter. You send the wrong guy the registered letter. Joe, don't you ever get the facts straight? Pack up and leave Joe, we all won't miss you. Oh by the way, no fishing off the bridge. Joe Hunter, you are making a lot of residents miserable. Get out of here. By By
Joe Hunter must leave!
Joe Hunter has send out registered letters to many Lake Ashton residents including me. He send me three already and now he won't received my E-Mails any more. This guy does nothing, say nothing and do nothing. Communities don't have directors and they don't pay this $140,000 plus salary he's getting for doing nothing. He does nothing! I have not yet found out what this guy does at lake Ashton. Does anyone Know? He does send out registered letters and make people miserable. Joe Hunter must go!

This letter is in regards to the terror that I have been facing in the Lake Ashton Woodworking Shop. My name is Franz Grimm and I have been a member of the Woodworking Shop for the past five years. In November 2009, I left to California for a few months and returned to Florida in March 2010. My terror began during the month of March 2010. I went into the shop one evening with a few 2X4’s which I had bought in Home Depot to cut. When I entered the shop, Roger Burton was there and he immediately starting yelling at me accusing me of taking 2X4’s from the shop. I hadn’t been in the shop for five months and now I was being accused of stealing. Roger Burton must have called his friend Larry Radcliff and told him about the stolen 2X4’s.
The next day, my wife and I went to the shop to glue some pieces of wood together and help clean up the shop. The day after, Larry Radcliff came into the shop around 11:00 a.m. while I was cutting some pieces of wood on the band saw. While I was cutting, the blade fell off and I asked Larry if he knew how to put the blade back on and he ignored me. Then he got very angry and told me, “You screwed up the whole shop.” He accused me that I put glue on the machine. He also stated that I cut a piece off of their plywood table. That cut was ½ by 8 inches long. That happened because I had to cut a piece of wood with a jigsaw. I did not notice the cut I had made. He then continued to yell at me stating that I needed to replace the new piece of plywood on top. Then I asked Larry Radcliff, “Who cut my 4X8 1/8 sheet of PVC?” Larry said that he didn’t cut my piece. I asked some other woodworkers club and they stated that Larry Radcliff had cut it. When I told Larry that other members told me he had cut it, he then stated that there was no name on the sheet and therefore he cut it. I told him that my name was on it and someone must have taken my name off. He had no business cutting my sheet and I stated that I had paid $40.00 for that sheet and the Woodworkers Club should reimburse me for it. He got extremely angry and said to me, “You Bastard!”
He was extremely angry and attempted to fight me. He came close to me and pushed his stomach against mine to fight. My wife was watching the whole interaction and then he wanted to start fighting with my wife. He then headed out of the shop yelling “You better take your shit out of here.” I immediately asked myself whether Roger and Larry own the shop because all of the shelves are labeled with Roger and Larry’s name and some of the drawers are locked. I feel that I am being discriminated and harassed by these two men.
A few hours later after Larry left, he returned with Roger Burton. When I saw Roger in the shop, I asked him “What happened to President Jack Maxwell?” He told me that he didn’t do anything for the people and that’s why they got rid of him. I remember when Jack Maxwell was the president, there were no problems in the shop. Roger Burton also stated that all of the 2X4’s and plywood in the shop came from the garbage dumpsters and when the security officers passed by they looked the other way. There is so much discrimination occurring in Lake Ashton that some people are able to take wood from the dumpsters and others are not. I was also told that if I take anything else out of the dumpster, the police will be called on me and I will be arrested.
I have also taken wood from the dumpsters but the guards reported me to Joe Hunter, who wrote me registered letter stating it is illegal to take items (wood) from a dumpster. My wife and I have constantly been harassed by the guards. I spoke to the Security Chief Luke that I had spoken to The Florida Refuse Department and they stated that I may take items out of the dumpster. I soon received another letter stating that it was illegal for me to enter a construction area. I stated to Joe Hunter that we have public streets and I may go wherever I want to go. As a member of the Woodworking Club, I have the right to drive to the shop or any other area I wish within Lake Ashton.
One evening I went to the shop and as I was getting out of my car, two security officers were present. One security officer pushed my car door against me, spit in my face and yelled “What are you doing here?” I stayed calm and told him I wanted to work in the wood shop. Soon thereafter, somebody called the police for me because I did not have a cell phone on me. When the police came they stated that I need to speak to the Lake Ashton Community Director. The police questioned the security officer and nothing happened.
Those guards live and work in Lake Ashton. I feel that they can mistreat me because Joe Hunter will protect them, no matter what they do. Joe Hunter should know that discriminating and harassing someone is against the law.
Very soon thereafter, I went to Security Chief Luke to let him know everything that had just occurred to me. He wrote a letter to his security officers stating no security officer can stop Franz Grimm from going to the wood shop. He stated in the letter that Franz Grimm has the right to go to the wood shop when he pleases. He then gave me a copy of the letter that he wrote to his employees. The harassment from the guards stopped after I received the letter. Luke had also told me that he was a New York Police Officer and he knew the law.
It is unfortunate that Joe Hunter worries more about someone taking scrap pieces of wood from the garbage dumpster than his other job duties. He should be doing his job. Karl Nowak and I have worked approximately 60 hours in the shop repairing the chess game for Lake Ashton and we never received a thank you or any type of appreciation but rather I have received harassment and discrimination on a weekly basis. I will also send a copy of this letter to the owner of Lake Ashton, Larry Maxwell, CDD and to the HOA. I am tired of people getting away with mistreating people and I want the public to know.
Thank you,
Franz Grimm

Mrs Van Sickle
Mrs Van Sickle is asking all the CDD members to turn over all their E-Mails. She says this is matter of public records and must be looked at to see who is given this Blog all this valuable information. They don't want no one to know what is going on here in Paradise except what they say in the L A Times which is nothing, yes, that L A Times is still control by the developer and it says nothing except this is Paradise. That paper is useless. The residents of Lake Ashton must be left in the dark and this lakeashtontalk blog must shut up and be closed. Mr Van Sickle tried to shut me up by calling the police on me, but that back fired. Now we all know who the caller is. He hasn't done anything in Lake Wales except fired a few officials. Now he and his wife wants to run Lake Ashton and fired a few more people. Watch out Mr "Do Nothing" Joe Hunter, this guy has turn off his web site to me but he still is one of the first to read my Blog every morning.
They don't tell you nothing, and they never will, nothing goes wrong here at this community, no Chinese drywall. excellent roads, no forecloses, house values are up, no higher fees, Bingo money is not being stolen, Bingo books are not being fixed, Bingo volunteers are not being taken out to diner, no half price Bingo cards for Paul's helpers, on and on and on. This is what they want you to hear. Now Mrs Van Sickle is in on the act. They want to control this community. Believe it or not.

Al Capone
Al is changing his occupation from boot legging to Bingo. He says there's more money calling the numbers at Bingo than selling whiskey under the table. Al has a good point and he may be right. Bingo Paul friends told me that he is treating all his good friends, as many as 60 for dinner at the Sizzling Grill in Lake Wales and also at the Texas Brazil Grill in Tampa. The cost of a dinner at this place could cost has much as $125.00 a plate. Bingo Paul wishes to thank all the Bingo players for their support unknowing to them.
Bingo Paul resign and than hired himself back and then resign and is still there running Bingo with the good wishes of Van Sickle and the HOA. Even Mrs Van Sickle is getting in the act. Every body's in the act, can't blame them, wouldn't you like to be taken to a free dinner all paid for by Bingo Paul. I am really surprise that Bingo Paul is not spending the holidays in the can. I guess he is paying off the mayor of Lake Wales, the same guy that call the police on me because he did not like my AK47.
Why is Bingo Paul still running Bingo or is it the HOA? The HOA has the licence, not Bingo Paul. And when are the Bingo books to be seen by the public? I understand that Mrs Bingo Pontious will still keep the Bingo Books for another 3 months. Why is Bingo Paul running Bingo without a valid Florida Bingo License?
Yes, Lake Ashton is beginning to sound like Chicago, lots of crooks and thieves in this community.
Again. I wish to thank my good friend Margot Stevens for all the help and info she has given me.

Margate condo residents face eviction over unpaid water bill

Dozens of residents at the Atlantic Palms condominium complex could be evicted from their homes within two weeks if they're unable to pay a city utility bill of more than $7,000.
Margate officials say more than 60 of the 76 units at Atlantic Palms, at 400 NW 65th Ave., are in different stages of foreclosure, and their homeowners association can't afford to pay the water bill.
Now, the city has posted notices on residents' doors saying they have until 6 p.m. June 3 to pay their water and sewer fees. If residents don't pay, their water service will be shut off June 7, and they will be forced to leave because of health concerns.
"I'm going to lose my home. I'm trying to do a [loan] modification to save my home," said Etienne Rodriguez, 37, a three-year resident whose condo is in foreclosure proceedings after he was laid off from his sprinkler installation job. "I think the city should give these people an opportunity if we can come up with the money."
Jerome Tepps, a Plantation-based lawyer representing Atlantic Palms, said their financial struggle is common among homeowners associations across South Florida.
"This illustrates the difficulties that associations are having," Tepps said. "Many people are having a hard time. I'm hoping they can raise the money. Or else, they're going to be required to leave. It can become a ghost town."
A 2009 survey by the Condominium Associations Institute — a national advocacy and lobbying group with chapters throughout Florida — found 13 percent of condo associations statewide were
facing serious problems because of delinquencies caused by foreclosures and owners who stopped paying.
Margate City Manager Frank Porcella said it's been almost a year since the city began trying to help Atlantic Palms' residents with their debt.
"Obviously, we don't want it to come to that [evictions]," Porcella said. "Our track record has shown that we've been working with them since July. We certainly don't want to put them out on the street. But we need to resolve this issue."
The latest water and sewer bill has been lowered from about $10,000 "to soften the blow," Porcella said. But it would be unfair to other utility customers if the city waived all of Atlantic Palms' bills, he said. The city has agreed to pay garbage bills in exchange for property liens, he said.
The city also previously cleaned the community pool, which on Tuesday was cordoned off because its water was dirty.
The complex's four buildings each have one water meter, so each building has its own water bill. Building A owes $1,102; Building B, $1,216; Building C, $3,139; and Building D, $1,777.
Residents in the buildings that pay their bills will be allowed to stay. Some residents said they are trying to rally neighbors to pay the debt but are unsure if they'll succeed.
"I'm panicking," said Raynande Moise, 42, a mother of two who recently had open heart surgery. "We can't afford to move."
Milord Pierre Fils, 42, has shared a condo with his cousin for two years. Asked where he would go if he was evicted, he replied: "I don't know yet."

Our Commander-In-Chief
THIS HAS GOT TO BE THE MOST OUTRAGEOUS STATEMENT EVER MADE BY A PUBLIC OFFICIAL LET ALONE BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES. AND THIS GUY IS OUR "COMMANDER IN CHIEF".
HE IS A DISGRACE, AND WITHOUT QUESTION AN EMPTY SUIT!!!
UNBELIEVABLE PRESIDENT???
HERE IS HIS RESPONSE WHEN HE BACKED OFF FROM HIS DECISION TO REQUIRE THE MILITARY PAY FOR THEIR WAR INJURIES.
WHAT AN EMPTY HEADED PERSON HE MUST BE....
Bad press, including major mockery of the plan by comedian Jon
Stewart, led to President Obama abandoning his proposal to require
veterans carry private health insurance to cover the estimated $540
million annual cost to the federal government of treatment for injuries
to military personnel received during their tours on active duty. The
President admitted that he was puzzled by the magnitude of the
opposition to his proposal.
"Look, it's an all volunteer force," Obama complained. "Nobody
made these guys go to war. They had to have known and accepted the risks.
Now they whine about bearing the costs of their choice? It doesn't compute.."
"I thought these were people who were proud to sacrifice for their country,"
Obama continued, "I wasn't asking for blood, just money. With the country facing the worst financial crisis in its history, I'd have thought that the patriotic thing to do would be to try to help reduce the nation's deficit. I guess I underestimated the selfishness of some of my fellow Americans."
Please pass this on to every one including every vet and their families whom you know. How in the world did a person with this mindset become our leader? I didn't vote for him!!!
REMEMBER THIS STATEMENT... "Nobody made these guys go to war. They had to have known and accepted the risks. Now they whine about bearing the costs of their choice?"
If he thinks he will ever get another vote from an Active Duty, Reserve, National Guard service member or veteran of a military service he ought to think it over.. If you or a family member is or has served their country please pass this to them.
Please pass this to everyone.
I'm guessing that other than the 20-25 percent hardcore liberals in the US will agree that this is just another example why this is the worst president in American history. Remind everyone over and over how this man thinks, while he bows to the Saudi Arabian king
HE IS A DISGRACE, AND WITHOUT QUESTION AN EMPTY SUIT!!!
