Also shows you how poor our education system has become and,

NO, I don't have the answers!

Do You Know?

Those who know, don't say. And those who say, don't know. And those who don't know, don't know they don't know.

Margot Stevens, CDD Board

Margot seems to think that $71,000 is more than enough to pay for all the repairs on the roads here at Lake Ashton. She says this money is a gift from the developer. Where is she coming from? Like I said, when the Kitchen get hot, leave Margot, get out. I also find it very cheap for Margot to call Jack Van Sickle to call the police on me because she though I had a AK47. Yes, the police came over. I should have told them that Margot has a AK47. She came over my house one day and ask me to call the police if I saw anyone digging up the road. What the hell was she thinking? Keith Stevens wants to fine anyone with grass over so many inches. I can see why everyone on the CDD Board are very upset over Margot. Resign Margot, get out, go back to your knitting and painting.

Citizens action group

PRESS RELEASE—FOR IMMEDIATE DISTRIBUTION

June 4, 2009
“Do the Right Thing”
Health Care Rally-- Wednesday, June 10, 2009 at Noon, City-County Building
Contact: Ron Biendseil, rbiend@charter.net  PH:  608-836-1920
CELL:  608-712-6831

The citizens’ action group, Dane County Grassroots Network, will conduct a rally in support of single-payer health care on Wednesday, June 10 at noon on the steps of the City-County Building, 210 Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd., in Madison. The group’s primary purpose is to urge the Obama administration and Congress to “do the right thing” by the option of a single payer health care plan.

Speakers will include members of the medical and health care community as well as individuals whose lives are affected by lack of adequate health care.

The Madison chapter of the international social action group, The Raging Grannies, will perform.

The Dane County Grassroots Network believes that health care for all is a right, not a privilege, and should not be a commodity to be purchased only by those who can afford it. The group advocates for a single-payer, government funded health-care system much like the present Medicare system. The single-payer approach is
(1) The only reform proposal to date that would provide truly universal coverage; and
(2) The most efficient and cost-effective means of delivery of health care.

Various reputable national polls over the past year have consistently shown that almost 60 percent of the population in the U.S. prefers a single-payer system.  These polls demonstrate that the public both
(1) Understands that that a fundamental injustice inheres in the denial of health-care coverage to 45 million people in a country as wealthy as the U.S.; and
(2) Has lost faith in a system in which big insurance companies profit by denying proper care to the insured.

Health care should be a basic civil right, not a source of profit for insurance companies.

Golf Players

You sure did not get to play golf to many times in May and it looks like June will be no different. When you can play they are busy working and making repairs on the golf course. It is a hell of a lot cheaper to play elsewhere and play by the day.

Lake Ashton Residents

The biggest problem is the apathy of the owners who don't want to get involved.
They only wake up when it's too late!

DON’T ASK, DON’T TELL

here is a lot of discussion and angst over the insurance section of the Condo Act passed in 2008. It has been described as draconian and may be abused by boards exercising intimidation.

Please look at what it really says:

718.111(11)(g)(2). The association shall require each owner to provide evidence of a currently effective policy of hazard and liability insurance upon request, but not more than once per year. Upon the failure of an owner to provide a certificate of insurance issued by an insurer approved to write such insurance in this state within 30 days after the date on which a written request is delivered, the association may purchase a policy of insurance on behalf of an owner. The cost of such a policy, together with reconstruction costs undertaken by the association but which are the responsibility of the unit owner, may be collected in the manner provided for the collection of assessments in s. 718.116.

Note: It does not require the association to demand certificates. It also says the association may place insurance, not that it must.

Community Director

With the Job Market the way it is, we should easily find a Community Director with a much better education and experience with a reasonable salary. A person that will be more friendly with the residents of Lake Ashton. There is no doubt that we could find a person that would be happy with $75,000 not $135,000 for a do nothing. His salary is way out of line for what he does.

Alligators

All you people that feel killing the alligators because of a complaint, that someone feel they are a threat to the residents of Lake Ashton please call Joe Hunter at 324-5457 or send him a letter or send me your letter and I will personally give it to "do nothing" Joe Hunter along with all the other letters. You can send it to lakeashtontalk@yahoo.com or we can all get together and have a meeting.

All Salaries of Management will be increase 10% as of Oct 1, 2009

10% increase for all Management employees effected Oct 1, 2009 This is the Biggest Rip-off since the tea-pot scandal. This increase will effect the maintenance fees we are now paying and the residents of Lake Ashton say nothing and do nothing.
Joe Hunter salary will then be $137,000
Tricia Adams salary will then be $90,000
Eddie Frye salary will then be $75,000

Big outrages salaries for the do nothings, large repair cost on the bowling alley, roads are in need of costly repair that could exceed millions. I can see more foreclosures in the near future and a long line exiting the main entrance at Lake Ashton and lots of more trouble.

To pay a person to raise his right hand $137,000, shame on you.

Every time the CDD board meet they each get paid $50.00 or $600.00 a year. Somehow I just don't get the picture. Those that do all the work gets paid less and those that do nothing gets paid the most.
