Deer Creek Comm. North: Another day in court and another couple foreclosures
Yesterday, Friday Oct 15, I attended the Bartow courthouse hearing on the 2 property foreclosure cases for Deer Creek Commercial North properties. These CRF/Larry Maxwell properties are located on the north side of the entrance to the Deer Creek Resort and include the shops and I believe the land from baseball diamond to the Blvd. As in the previous hearing 2 weeks ago for the other CRF / Maxwell property, Cypress Creek Plaza, these were also put into receivership, this time it was by Judge Neil Roddenbery at request of BB&T bank who held the mortgage and the same receiver was appointed for these shops as the Cypress Creek Plaza ones. The foreclosure sale is already agreed to by the attorneys for these properties and is scheduled for just after February 1st. Makes one wonder which property is next on the foreclosure list?

I attended the Candidate Forum on Oct 10th. Here are my impressions.
1: I have no attachment to any candidate
2: How could the HOA who did a commendable job in running this event ....permit a ( 4 X 6 ) billboard ... IN THE CLUBHOUSE for 3 candidates, when NO SIGNS ON LA PROPERTY IS PERMITTED ANYWHERE AS STATED IN THE COVENANTS ??
3: I have nothing against Police Officers whether active or retired......HOWEVER....
FORGIVE ME, I WANT MY INVESTMENT LOOKED AFTER BY SUCCESSFUL BUSINESS MINDED PEOPLE....NOT RETIRED COPS. THE WIFE OF THE MAYOR OF LAKE WALES, OR THE WIFE OF..A PRESENT ( HOA BOARD MEMBER ) who I am told is under scrutiny by the law for violations of some kind, while she kept his records.
4: FOR THAT REASON...I WILL PUT MY INVESTMENTS and CONFIDENCE, in the hands of Successful Business experienced people.
5: I will cast my vote for John Chickness, Jo Fuller and Bob Cruz.
6: I expect during my short stay to enjoy the winter, and look forward to the Lake Ashton I invested in to move past its present problems.
Not wanting to wake his wife, he undressed in the dark, crept into the bedroom and started to climb into bed. She sleepily sat up and said, "Mike, dearest, would you go down to the all-night drug store on the next block and get me some aspirin? I've got a splitting headache."
"Certainly, honey," he said, and feeling his way across the room, he got dressed and walked over to the drug store.
As he arrived, the pharmacist looked up in surprise, "Say," said the druggist, "aren't you Officer Fenwick of the 8th District?"
"Yes, I am," said the officer.
"Well, then, what in the world are you doing in the Fire Chief's uniform?"

WE need to vote for John and Fuller. Together we can take back our community. We can take over Bingo and the Restaurant. We can get rid of Joe (Do nothing) Hunter who gets paid $120,000 and Tish Adams, who controls the LA Times and gets paid $90,000. Hurray for Jeff Salvin, Dick Ralls and John Chickness, they are the only residents who care about this community.

Now there is proof....
BINGO PAUL has done it again...He shuck into the Game room when no one was around ? He placed a Negative Article on the Billiard Players Bulletin board..
He did not realize a Billiard Player coming to practice saw him from the outside thru the window. He SNAPPED a Video CELL phone picture of him placing the article on their board.
The man has lost it...He is TRYING as hard as he can to cause his wife Carol to lose her CDD election to Jo Fuller.
The Billiard Players are embarrassed by this mans actions.. HE should apologize to them.. If not they have stated , they will play the video taken of him on the internet for all to see ... Maybe the last time before he heads to Jail for his shredding the Bingo Records....Public Documents..a definite NO NO admitted to by the HOA president Dave Ross at the Sunday HOA meeting.
Talk about Chicago Politics...
Bingo Paul...lets hear you apology ASAP...

Would this not seem to be the time our LAKE ASHTON
resident....and Mayor of Lake Wales would stand up for our residents and DO SOMETHING for the community. Where is this guy when you need him ?
Maybe he should spend more time on helping us, who do not want this project stuck in our back yard and less time trying to convict a bunch of old foggies playing poker....What a JOKE....
Cmon on Mayor...show us some value. Now your wife wants on the CDD board...Think she will suggest this to you....
Think twice folks this is a serious vote.
Vote for ...CRUZ..FULLER...CHICKNESS to take our community forward for the RESIDENTS.

Traditions III - Please Help -
Re: Traditions III proposed 2 story villas – 10-15 feet from fence behind house on Green Drive in Lake Ashton
Dear Bird & Nature Club,
Please help us in our efforts to persuade the Winter Haven Mayor & Commissioners to place Traditions III 30-50’ from the fence at Lake Ashton (instead of the proposed 10-15).
There is a meeting Monday October 11th 7:30 PM at City Hall in Winter Haven, 451 Third St W. Traditions III is on the agenda. This meeting is in direct response to our letters! Thanks to all of you who wrote. This meeting gives us opportunity to voice our opinions about the height and proximity of the proposed villas. This affects all of Lake Ashton in a sense – making it a less desirable place to live. Even if you live in Lake Wales – your voice should be heard – because we’re all Lake Ashton.
If you can go in person – please do. Lynne & Larry Judd (325-8528) are heading up and coordinating our efforts – so please contact them (not me) with any questions.
If you can’t go – then please feel free to take my attached letter, modify it appropriately and sent it as your proxy with Lynne & Larry.
Thank you so much.
The birds, raccoons, bobcats, coyotes and other critters behind my house also send their thanks.
