Why doesn’t anyone get it? Bingo money has come into our Lake Ashton community since 2006 based on a Bingo license issued to our homeowners association for the purpose of operating a weekly Bingo game. Lots of money! Hundreds of thousands of dollars of money! There was enough money pissed away that could have completely fixed our bowling alley.
Where is that money now? The four HOA bingo accounts show that Mrs. Pontious (as the bookkeeper) and Mr. Pontious (as the signatory) have used it as their private power fund. Yes, the bank records show all kinds of expenditures never authorized by vote of the HOA BOD. . They include thousands of dollars that Mr. and Mrs. Pontious used for entertaining (Restaurants and travel) and making themselves appear important and generous.
What have they gained from that “importance” and “generosity”? Well, each of them has now been elected to positions of power to be used in running our community. Mrs. Pontious was recently elected to a position(CDD Supervisor) of financial responsibility for over two million of your dollars each year. Mr. Pontious was recently elected to the Board of Directors of your HOA.
Why doesn’t anyone get it? Mr. and Mrs. Pontious have used YOUR dollars, bought their places at YOUR table, and now they have access to spend more of YOUR money while running YOUR community the way they want it to be run. How do you feel about the fact that the present HOA Board doesn’t see anything wrong with this? Do you?
