Christmas in Heaven
Three men all die on Christmas Day, and arrive at the pearly gates. Peter greets them and tells them that they are all evil men who SHOULD go to hell - but because it's Christmas, he'll let them into heaven if they have something representing the holiday with them. One of the guys has a Christmas ornament, and gets let in. Another guy has pine needles on his shirt, and gets let in. The third guy pulls out a pair of panties.
"How do those represent Christmas?" asks Peter.
"These are Carol's."

L A Times
The L A Times is control by the developer and all monies from all the ads are going in his pocket. I counted 20 ads in the LA Times this month, January, 2010. It is now becoming a ad magazine, a money maker for the developer. Have you try to place a story in this magazine? I tried many times and Tricia Adams did not publish it. All they write about is nothing unusual is going on here at Lake Ashton. We are walking on holy land, the less you tell the residents the better. I would think they would warn the resident's about the Chinese dry wall, roads, MX, health violations with the grill, Bowling Alley problems, Ballroom carpet, violations on Bingo night, no this is no problem holy land, and you all believe it. Enjoy your coffee on Monday morning, and remember that all money from this coffee goes to the developer.

JOE LEGAL vs. JOSE ILLEGAL
JOE LEGAL vs. JOSE ILLEGAL
You have two families: "Joe Legal" and "Jose Illegal".
Both families have two parents, two children, and live in California .
Joe Legal works in construction, has a Social Security Number and makes
$25.00 per hour with taxes deducted.
Jose Illegal also works in construction, has NO Social Security Number,
and gets paid $15.00 cash "under the table".
Ready? Now pay attention...
Joe Legal: $25.00 per hour x 40 hours = $1000.00 per week, or $52,000.00
per year. Now take 30% away for state and federal tax; Joe Legal now has
$31,231.00.
Jose Illegal: $15.00 per hour x 40 hours = $600.00 per week, or
$31,200.00 per year. Jose Illegal pays no taxes. Jose Illegal now has
$31,200.00.
Joe Legal pays medical and dental insurance with limited coverage for
his family at $600.00 per month, or $7,200.00 per year. Joe Legal now
has $24,031.00.
Jose Illegal has full medical and dental coverage through the state and
local clinics at a cost of $0.00 per year. Jose Illegal still has
$31,200.00.
Joe Legal makes too much money and is not eligible for food stamps or
welfare. Joe Legal pays $500.00 per month for food, or $6,000.00 per
year. Joe Legal now has $18,031.00.
Jose Illegal has no documented income and is eligible for food stamps
and welfare. Jose Illegal still has $31,200.00.
Joe Legal pays rent of $1,200.00 per month, or $14,400.00 per year. Joe
Legal now has $9,631.00.
Jose Illegal receives a $500.00 per month federal rent subsidy. Jose
Illegal pays out that $500.00 per month, or $6,000.00 per year. Jose Illegal
still has $ 31,200.00.
Joe Legal pays $200.00 per month, or $2,400.00 for insurance. Joe Legal
now has $7,231.00.
Jose Illegal says, "We don't need no stinkin' insurance!" and still has
$31,200.00.
Joe Legal has to make his $7,231.00 stretch to pay utilities, gasoline, etc.
Jose Illegal has to make his $31,200.00 stretch to pay utilities,
gasoline, and what he sends out of the country every month.
Joe Legal now works overtime on Saturdays or gets a part time job after
work.
Jose Illegal has nights and weekends off to enjoy with his family.
Joe Legal's and Jose Illegal's children both attend the same school. Joe
Legal pays for his children's lunches while Jose Illegal's children get
a government sponsored lunch. Jose Illegal's children have an after
school ESL program. Joe Legal's children go home.
Joe Legal and Jose Illegal both enjoy the same police and fire services,
but Joe paid for them and Jose did not pay.
Do you get it, now?

Bingo Paul finally got the message, he had no raffle or 50/50 at Mondays Night Bingo Dec 28, 2009.
150 hits today and only 4 people found the error
It looks like we have quite a few residents here who doesn't know math too well. So I don't feel too bad. Yes the total should be $57,000 for the total the HOA collected. Thanks
HOA $600 bills for residents
$600.00 made out to the Lake Ashton HOA. Ever wonder what they do with all that money? Have you ever ask? 950 homes here times 60 equals $57,000 This is still lots of loot. One can only guess the money is used to hired attorneys against the developer. We are spending money like crazy against this guy and he does not give in. Nobody cares! Money being spent getting no results, like the MX, nothing. Ronald White keeps a closed lip. I think its about time we find out where all this money is going!
Bowling Alley Cost
Why are they thinking about replacing the carpet in the ballroom of the club house when there are many other problems. What about the bowing alley. The doors are paddle locked and you can't get in. Lots of people here bought into Lake Ashton just so they can Bowl. Now they are bowling mad. What is going on with the bowling alley? Will it ever be repaired? Will the bowlers ever be able to bowl again? Lets get some answers!
You would think fixing the bowling alley would be a higher priority.

Couple hit Seminole condo association with disability discrimination lawsuit
Article Courtesy of The St. Petersburg Times

SEMINOLE — A husband and wife are suing Mayor Jimmy Johnson and the other officers in their condo association, claiming they have discriminated against the couple because of the woman's chronic lung disease.
Daniel and Laura Hommel own a second-floor condo in the Gardens 106, a 55-plus community off Park Boulevard next to Lake Seminole Park. They accuse the homeowners association board, which includes Johnson, the condominiums and the complex's insurer of violating the Fair Housing Act by requiring that the Hommels either get rid of an electric chair lift or pay extra insurance if it stays.
Mrs. Hommel, they say, cannot climb the stairs by herself and they are unable to afford the extra insurance premium — an estimated $2,700 to $3,500 a year. Mrs. Hommel is living in a nearby one-story nursing home while the issues are worked out.
The Hommels have lived in the Gardens since July 1977. When they first moved in, Mrs. Hommel was healthy and able to get around easily. Now 76, she suffers from a breathing disorder and also has trouble walking. She has been unable to climb the stairs to her home since 2004 and has used a wheelchair since 2005.
The Hommels installed an electric chair lift in the outside stairwell in 2004. The chair folds and stays locked when not being used. It remained for about a year with no complaints or incidents, the lawsuit says. But in 2005, the complex told the Hommels they would have to take the lift out because it violates the fire code.
A year later, the Hommels asked permission to reinstall the lift. He got permission from both his neighbors and the Seminole Fire Department, but did not install the lift because the homeowners board said he would have to pay the extra insurance premium.
The Hommels complained in late 2007 to the county's Office of Human Rights that they were victims of disability discrimination. A county investigation concluded the Hommels had been discriminated against and authorized the lawsuit be filed. The Hommels want to be able to install the lift without paying the extra insurance premium. They're also asking for an unspecified amount in monetary damages.

MR. PRESIDENT, I'M HEADED TO MEXICO
David M. Bresnahan
April 1, 2006
NewsWithViews.com
Dear President Bush:
I'm about to plan a little trip with my family and extended family, and I would like to ask you to assist me. I'm going to walk across the border from the U.S. into Mexico, and I need to make a few arrangements. I know you can help with this. I plan to skip all the legal stuff like visas, passports, immigration quotas and laws. I'm sure they handle those things the same way you do here. So, would you mind telling your buddy, President Vicente Fox, that I'm on my way over? Please let him know that I will be expecting the following:
1. Free medical care for my entire family.
2. English-speaking government bureaucrats for all services I might need, whether I use them or not.
3. All government forms need to be printed in English.
4. I want my kids to be taught by English-speaking teachers.
5. Schools need to include classes on American culture and history.
6. I want my kids to see the American flag flying on the top of the flag pole at their school with the Mexican flag flying lower down.
7. Please plan to feed my kids at school for both breakfast and lunch.
8. I will need a local Mexican driver's license so I can get easy access to government services.
9. I do not plan to have any car insurance, and I won't make any effort to learn local traffic laws.
10. In case one of the Mexican police officers does not get the memo from Pres. Fox to leave me alone, please be sure that all police officers speak English.
11. I plan to fly the U.S. flag from my house top, put flag decals on my car, and have a gigantic celebration on July 4th. I do not want any complaints or negative comments from the locals.
12. I would also like to have a nice job without paying any taxes, and don’t enforce any labor laws or tax laws.
13. Please tell all the people in the country to be extremely nice and never say a critical word about me, or about the strain I might place on the economy. I know this is an easy request because you already do all these things for all the people who come to the U.S. from Mexico. I am sure that Pres. Fox won't mind returning the favor if you ask him nicely. However, if he gives you any trouble, just invite him to go quail hunting with your V.P. Thank you so much for your kind help.
Sincerely,
David M. Bresnahan

Bingo Paul again in the news
Bingo Paul is now understanding the Florida Law, you can't have a lottery or a 50/50 in the presents of Bingo. Paul should thank me for protecting him from the police and the slammer. But knowing Paul, I am a ass hole, This guy took one month to realize it is illegal, and for the person that picks the luckily number, that person could also be in trouble. Bingo Paul wants all on the CDD members and the CDD and the person that picks the luckily number to join him in the slammer.
There will NOT be any 50/50 or or lottery at bingo tonight. Just a honest game of Bingo. Good luck Bingo players. Usually if there a winner, you have to divide the money 2-5 ways. Those Bingo cards are mess up and you come out of it breaking even.

CDD MEETING
The CDD is spending money like its going out of style. A new carpet in the ballroom? $1200 approx cost. Are they crazy, there are no rips, holes. or tears in the carpet. Get a carpet steam cleaner for 1% of the price and you have a new carpet. This spending money is crazy.

CDD members must either be rich or liberal democrats taking a leaf out of the federal governments' book of spend and tax.

(This is worth reading. It is short and to the point.)
Perhaps we are asking the wrong questions during election years.
Our Senators and Congresswomen do not pay into Social Security and, of course, they do not collect from it.
You see, Social Security benefits were not suitable for persons of their rare elevation in society. They felt they should have a special plan for themselves So, many years ago they voted in their own benefit plan.
In more recent years, no congress person has felt the need to change it. After all, it is a great plan.
For all practical purposes their plan works like this:
When they retire, they continue to draw the same pay until they die.
Except it may increase from time to time for cost of living adjustments. ....
For example, Senator Byrd and Congressman White and their wives may expect to draw $7, 800,000.00 (that's Seven Million, Eight-Hundred Thousand Dollars), with their wives drawing $275, 000..00 during the last years of their lives.
This is calculated on an average life span for each of those Dignitaries.
Younger Dignitaries who retire at an early age, will receive much more during the rest of their lives.
Their cost for this excellent plan to them is $0.00. NADA!!! ZILCH!!!
This little perk they voted for themselves is free to them. You and I pick up the tab for this plan. The funds for this fine retirement plan come directly from the General Funds;
"OUR TAX DOLLARS AT WORK"!
From our own Social Security Plan, which you and I pay (or have paid) into, every payday until we retire (which amount is matched by our employer), We can expect to get an average of
$1,000 per month after retirement.
Or, in other words, we would have to collect our average of $1,000 monthly benefits for 68 years and one (1) month to equal Senator Bill Bradley's benefits!
Social Security could be very good if only one small change were made.
That change would be to
Jerk the Golden Fleece Retirement Plan from under the Senators and Congressmen. . Put them into the Social Security plan with the rest of us
Then sit back.....
And see how fast they would fix it!
If enough people receive this, maybe a seed of awareness will be planted and maybe good changes will evolve.
How many people can YOU send this to?
How many people WILL you send this to ?

Payback is fun!!!!!!!!!!!!
WRITE IT ON THE BACK OF YOUR ENVELOPES or front!
WE THINK THIS IS A GREAT IDEA. WE'LL START WRITING IT ON THE FRONT OF OUR ENVELOPES, TOO! ! Including Bills.
You may have heard in the news that a couple of Post Offices in Texas have been forced to take down small posters that say
'IN GOD WE TRUST' , The law, they say, is being violated.
Anyway, we heard proposed on a radio station show, that we should all write
'IN GOD WE TRUST'
on the back of all our mail. After all, that's our National Motto,
and it's on all the money we use to buy those stamps. We think it's a wonderful idea.
We must take back our nation from all the people who think that anything that offends them should be removed.
If you like this idea, please pass it on and DO IT. The idea of writing or stamping
'IN GOD WE TRUST ' on our envelopes sounds good to us.
WE'RE HAVING A STAMP MADE TOO! Heck, lets use it as our signature on e-mails too!
It's been reported that 86% of Americans believe in God. Therefore, we have a very hard time understanding why there's such a fuss about having 'In God We Trust' on our money and having God in the pledge of Allegiance.
Could it be that WE just need to take action and tell the 14% to 'sit down and shut up'?
If you agree, pass this on, if not, delete it!!! BUT REMEMBER IF YOU DELETE THIS, that's 1 reason why this world is in the
mess we're in now.
WE SAT BACK & LET IT HAPPEN !!

Thoughts for the day
The liberals are asking us to give Obama time.
We agree and think 25 to life would be appropriate.
**********************
America needs Obamacare like Nancy Pelosi needs a Halloween mask.
**********************
Q: Have you heard about McDonalds new Obama Value Meal?
A: Order anything you like and the guy behind you has to pay for it.
**********************
Q: What does Barack Obama call lunch with a convicted felon?
A: A fund raiser.
**********************
Q: What's the difference between Obama's cabinet and a penitentiary?
A: One is filled with tax evaders, blackmailers and threats to society.
The other is for housing prisoners.
**********************
If Nancy Pelosi and Obama were on a boat in the middle of the ocean and It started to sink, who would be saved? .... America !
**********************
Q: What's the difference between Obama and his dog, Bo?
A: Bo has papers.
We agree and think 25 to life would be appropriate.

How many zeros in a billion?
This is too true to be funny.
The next time you hear a politician use the
word 'billion' in a casual manner, think about
whether you want the 'politicians' spending
YOUR tax money.
A billion is a difficult number to comprehend,
but one advertising agency did a good job of
putting that figure into some perspective in
one of its releases.
A.
A billion seconds ago it was 1959.
B.
A billion minutes ago jesus was alive.
C.
A billion hours ago our ancestors were
living in the Stone Age.
D.
A billion days ago no one walked on the earth on two feet.
E.
A billion dollars ago was only
8 hours and 20 minutes,
at the rate our government
is spending it.
While this thought is still fresh in our brain...
let's take a look at New Orleans .
It's amazing what you can learn with some simple division.
Louisiana Senator,
Mary Landrieu (D)
is presently asking Congress for
250 BILLION DOLLARS
to rebuild New Orleans . Interesting number...
what does it mean?
A.
Well.... if you are one of the 484,674 residents of New Orleans
(every man, woman, and child)
you each get $516,528.
B.
Or... if you have one of the 188,251 homes in
New Orleans , your home gets $1,329,787..
C..
Or... if you are a family of four...
your family gets $2,066,012.

Lake Ashton Records
Answer:
FS 720.303(4)(j) requires that all "Accurate, itemized, and detailed records of all receipts and expenditures" are part of the public records of the association, accessible to homeowners on request. So, if the association is not using Monopoly money to pay its employees, the records of wages and other benefits paid to employees are clearly part of the financial records open to the homeowners.
Question:
We all want to see all of Lake Ashton Management records but they keep giving us the cold shoulder and a deaf ear. What are they hiding if they are doing no wrong. Why are they not answering us and avoiding us. We have tried many times but to no avail. The CDD committee and home owners want answers and the records. What is the developer hiding if he has done no wrong. Are we paying for some of the developer bills? If you got nothing to hide than hand over the records Mr Developer ASAP.
The State Attorney General, Bill McCollum is looking into your actions.

Bingo Paul admits breaking the law
BINGO & PAUL PONTIOUS....
In this months LA Times, Paul Pontious in his typical arrogance
ADMITS TO BREAKING THE LAW !
Even though he gives an impressive breakdown on how he has spent Bingo Monies illegally to help his 18 projects, which should be commended, HE misses the point !!
Florida Statute does NOT PERMIT offering Bingo Money to any entity
other than a CHARITABLE FOUNDATION / INSTITUTION.
This is the fact that he does not mention in his Article on Page 16. of this months LA Times.
The Truth does not wish to harm or deter Bingo at Lake Ashton.
I do not think however the residents here wish to be reported to the IRS for illegal actions. This could cause action that we would all have to pay for.
PAUL ... Remember....The money from bingo is earned in the Clubhouse owned by the members not you and You should not determine where the money is spent...
Give up your arrogance or Give up your pompous head of bingo and
FOLLOW THE LAW !
Since I know the LA Times will not permit this to published by them...
Its published here..

I truly wish all of you here at Lake Ashton and beyond a cheerful Merry Christmas, good health and all the good things. Edmund King
Please click on Christmas card on the left of the blog, thanks
NEWS WANTED send to lakeashtontalk@yahoo.com
To all who sends me news I will send you special shocking news reports about our government and things that are going around in this country for one week.
Bingo Paul again in the news
I am going to start charging Bingo Paul for all the publicity I am giving him. It all started when he was golfing and called me a ass hole in my back yard. Then he busted into the billiard room and gave me the arm and finger. The following week he walk into the room and shouted at me saying you are a ass hole and I am going to keep $20,000 of Bingo money until you shut up. Then he meets me outdoors and again he calls me a ass hole. He drives by my home and again calls me a ass hole. Does he think I am hard of hearing or he can't remember my name. Paul it is Ed King, the news writer
Now he is thinking of closing down Bingo at the end of January. Why, I don't go around calling him an ass hole, maybe I should open the bingo doors and call him an ASS HOLE in front of 150 or more guest. What do you think? Hey Mr Van Sickle call the police.

Turnberry Lane
I took a walk this morning on Turnberry Lane, another road they took samples of, I held my breath hoping I would not fall through the cracks. This street is totally a big mess, if its not, I like to know what you would call it. Every 6 ft or so there is a long crack 10ft or so long, both vertical and horizontally the entire length of the road. If for any reason a resident is called in missing, please look in the cracks along Turnberry Lane. Thanks

Dunmore Drive road being cored
This time I believe we hit pay dirt, 8 inches below the asphalt there was nothing but mud, no gravel or good ground base. It looked like this road was made over a stream because the soil was still very wet. They never removed the wet gray dirt from the road, they just pile stone over it. I believe the developer is in trouble and if he refuses to pay for the repair of the roads then CDD has no choice but to file legal action and this could cost $100,000 or more. We now have the proof and it looks good. Good decision CDD committee Jeff Salvin and John Chickness, both members were there to see the roads being cored including me, lakeashtontalk publisher Edmund King, and I hope you win, otherwise it would cost the taxpayers of Lake Ashton approx $9,000,000.00 for repairs. Where was Margot Stevens? Home, doing her nails. Jake Eaton just don't care, I never hear from him. I gave him a call and I get no answer. Forget about Scott Owens, he is the developer's stepson all most.

Bingo Paul is no more
After the last bingo on Monday Dec 21, Bingo Paul had a raffle given $125 to one winner and two $65 to the other winners and he told all the winners to give the money to charity, after he was told to stop this activity. This coming Bingo he will have nothing to say and will have no power in running Bingo. HOA will take over and tell Bingo Paul what to do. He can only call numbers and be seated. 50/50 or any raffles will not be permitted. HOA will control the Bingo Bank Accounts and Charity Accounts.
You can't tell this guy what to do, he just won't listen. First it was Jessie, then it was Jake, then it was Paul, now its the HOA, thanks to Bingo Paul, he doesn't have too many friends on the committees.

UPS
SECURITY FOUND 3 PACKAGES IN THE CENTER OF THE ROAD TODAY DEC 22, 2009 NEAR THE STORAGE AREA. THE UPS LEAVES THEIR DOORS OPEN AND EVERYTHING FALLS OUT. THIS DRIVER MUST BE HIGH ON DRUGS. ONE OF THE PACKAGES WAS OURS, THE OTHER TWO BELONG TO SOMEONE ELSE. MERRY CHRISTMAS UPS DRIVER.
Bingo Paul
Bingo Paul crash into the pool room while I was playing pool with 20 other members on Dec 14 and screamed out loud saying he got $22,000 and your not going to have it and then as always called me an Ass Hole in front of 20 pool players. Where is he keeping his brains, in his pocket with the $22,000. Bingo Paul is not going to change he stole the game from Jessie Ayres and also took the title of president from Jake Eaton of the HOA and gave it to himself. It sounds like we have a crook among us. Could someone call the police, Mr Mayor Lloyd Van Sickle this job is right up your alley, since you have not done anything to lower the taxes here at Lake Ashton except call the police on residents.
Cores of Roads will be done on Wednesday Dec 23, 2009
At a cost of $6,000 roads will be cored again only this time 4 large holes 1 ft sq. X 3 deep. This is the second time around. Roads are marked with a big X sign for testing. Are they to specs or not to specs and where are the specs and what does it say. Nobody knows. Good Luck CDD
First hole is to be done on Lake Ashton Drive near the Club House at 8am in the morning

Bingo Paul held a raffle at Bingo on Monday Dec 21
Bingo Paul held a raffle at Bingo on Monday Dec 22, 2009. Please note that this is money changing hands and it becomes a lottery. Who was the luckly winner? I know who the loser was. There will be a good chance that Bingo will no longer be played at the Lake Ashton Club House thanks to Bingo Paul, the person that knows everything, but he doesn't know my name, calls me ass hole. The HOA received a notice from Jan Capenter from Shuffield Lowman Attorneys and Advisors regarding the conduct and operation of Bingo nights on property owned by Lake Ashton CDD which said that any 50/50 drawing in connection with any Bingo event run by the HOA must stop. This letter was received by the HOA and send to all members of the CDD including George Flint before Monday night Bingo. It states that it has no choice but to reconsider the leasing of District property to the HOA if he continues running a 50/50, which he did this Monday night. This letter was sign by Jason Merritt, a Attorney and Advisor from Shuffield Lowmam.
A Christmas Card to all
Merry Christmas / Happy Holidays / and a Healthy and Prosperous 2010 to all our Terrific Residents living here at Lake Ashton 1 and 2.

Water Bills
All Lake Ashton Residents who have lived here for 4 years or more, get your security deposit back. There will be no interest but it is better in your pocket than the unfriendly water dept. You need picture indent to turn it on and a picture indent to shut it off If you notify them to turn it on, it will not be turn on. They are the most unreliable people here in the state of Florida. Add it up, security is $128.00 times the number of people in Lake Wales and you have millions of dollars in their pocket and they pay no interest. Once a crook always a crook.

Paul Pontious......Held a RAFFLE otherwise known as a lottery .. at this past Monday Nite Bingo Dec 14, 2009...and Gave all the money to the winner ?? ( I dont give a Damn actions ) Wasn't he told to stop running the lottery at Bingo by the HOA? This guy will do anything he wishes, including going by my house and calling me an Ass Hole.
Paul, I will give you all the address of the HOA members so you can likewise go by their home and call them names the same names you been calling me every time you see me. I am in receipt of your email requesting what I have done for Lake Ashton.....?
I will leave that for you and the residents to comment on. You will not hear that from me .
My only comment might be....

Edmund King, What did I do. page one of three
What did I do to help Lake Ashton residents have a better life?
When I first moved in three and a half years ago, they said nothing about pick-up trucks. It wasn't till 9 months later they came up with a new rule NO PICK UP TRUCKS ALLOWED PARKED IN YOUR DRIVEWAY. Now they tell me after I bought my home. I use my truck to pull my 36 ft RV and boat in this RV, boat and golf community. I have a large truck with a long bed, duramax 6.6L V8 Turbo with dual rear wheels cost of truck $50,000, and it does not fit in the garage. They said to all residents that you will be fine $100 a day starting on April 1, 2006 if you continued parking your truck in your own driveway. Where in hell am I and everybody else suppose to park their truck? Developer Larry Maxwell could not be reach for Comment, as always. Sonny Robertson and Keith Stevens was on the HOA committee that decided to ban the pickups here at lake Ashton. What right do they have to tell you what you drive? What are you to use to pull your boat and use the boat ramp that the developer build, your little 4 cylinder Honda? What a bunch of nuts. The CDD and the HOA just don't get the picture. At that time we could E-Mail Ashtonliving web site and say what we want. Well, June Young cancel that opportunity to e-mail our thoughts on her Web site, controlled by her, the developer and Joe Hunter. Now we still have a chance to say anything we want and let everybody know what is going on in here at Lake Ashton. You won't read it in the L A Times or Ashtonliving. My Web site is not control by the developer, Joe Adams or Tricia Adams. It is control by me and the people of Lake Ashton.
After many meetings with do nothing Joe Hunter, I decided enough is enough so I call the Ledger. They knew this was a big story that must be told to the people of Poke County. On March 2,2006 The Ledger published this story on the pick-up issue and it made headlines on the front page with a picture of Mike Hampton and his pick up truck, titled "pickup rebellion" He has long sold his home and moved out. Enough is enough he says. He was join by a few more residents, one couple left their home without it being sold because they had two pick ups. This community is nuts they said. You residents just don't know the rest of the story.
It did not stop with the ledger, I called Bay News Channel 9, and they came down with their news team, parked in front of our house and filmed a story about my truck, my garage, and me. That night it was on the nightly news. The pressure was now on and the public was notify of life here at Lake Ashton. The truth hurts, most of you would lied about it and it did not happen, I have proof it did happen and I do have the ledger. Some people just don't get the picture. This community is paradise and there are residents here that are afraid to talk and speak out. Its just too bad this did not happen to you.
To make this story short, as you can see, pick up trucks can now parked at their homes and in their driveways. Not one person came forward and thanked me for my effort. That is the attitude of residents of Lake Ashton. They care less, and I don't care, but the truth marches on. To be continued.
No reply from the HOA or the CDD. or anybody else
No answer from anyone, therefor they did nothing but got us deeper in debt, hired many lawyers for thousands of dollars and got no results. Nothing, what did they do for the residents of Lake Ashton, nothing? Even at the meetings, residents don't show up. Sunday I will tell you what I did for Lake Ashton and it did not cost you a cent. Would you believe I got no thanks. Read what I did and have to say on Sunday. Thanks Edmund King

Live Oak Board President Peppered Over Cable Contract

NEW TAMPA - A standing-room-only group of Live Oak Preserve residents chided its homeowners association board Thursday for approving a bulk cable contract that will contribute to a $301,000 increase in its 2009 budget.
"We don't want to pay for our neighbors' cable,'' resident John Carter after the homeowners association board approved a $3.1 million budget at its annual meeting.
During the meeting at the community clubhouse, angry residents peppered board president Rick Feather, who was hand-picked by the developer to serve on the panel, with questions about the board's decision to tie the community to a 15-year contract with Bright House Networks.
Bright House purchased the cable contract in June from Century Communications. The cable company is required to provide cable, Internet and home security monitoring services to as many as 1,590 units in Live Oak Preserve.
There are now about 1,100 households in the community developed by Engle Homes and managed by LandArc.
The board budgeted $1.14 million for the annual bulk cable contract, an increase of $8,000 from this year.
The increased cost drew whistles and murmurs from the crowd. Feather, who negotiated the contract, encouraged residents to look at the deal from a positive perspective.
"If you were paying [for cable] based on 1,100 homes, you would be paying more," Feather said.
Feather, an Engle Homes employee who doesn't live in Live Oak Preserve, said the homeowners association has been talking to Bright House officials about the possibility of adjusting parts of the contract. He declined to provide details.
Residents are allowed to choose their own service providers, however, they are still required to help pay for the Bright House contract.
Homeowner dues will increase next year to $491 per quarter, which will mean a $188 annual increase per household. For the first time association fees will be due on a monthly basis. Homeowners will be required to pay $163.79 per month starting in January.
The past two years homeowners have paid $444 each quarter to cover association fees such as cable, Internet service, home security monitoring, security service and common areas maintenance for the clubhouse, pool, trash removal, street lights and others.
Feather said the homeowners association plans to increase funding for gate repairs, pool cleaning, clubhouse janitorial services and payroll for an on-site property manager and an assistant.
The homeowners group also budgeted additional money to cover the cost for postage, legal fees and bad debts from foreclosures, short sales and residents delinquent on homeowner fees.
In a surprise move, Feather announced the three-member hand-picked homeowners association's board of directors was inviting two Live Oak residents to join the panel, increasing its membership to five.
Joining Feathers and board members Lauren Arcaro and Keith Donnelly will be Amy Warenyk of Willow Bend Village and Frank Micallef of Maplewood Village. Warenyk, who attended the meeting, was invited to sit with the board after her name was announced.
Zuriel Cabrera, the Weatherwood Village association president who has been a vocal opponent of the bulk cable contract, said after the meeting he was disappointed with the outcome. He said he hoped the board would have shown greater responsibility to reduce the financial burden heaped on homeowners.
Cabrera said he was aware of the board's plans to add two residents to its ranks, but the balance of power remains with Engle Homes.
Earl Myers of Willow Bend said he was pleased by resident turnout and their desire to have their voices heard.
"If this board got anything out of this meeting, they learned they need to be more communicative with this community," Myers said.

Where have all the flags gone?
Have you notice that a few months ago there were flags flying on the Lake Ashton fence post every 20 feet welcoming new prospective residents to Lake Ashton. Where have they gone? Well it seems that he were using these post that are owned by the CDD without permission. The CDD decided to charge him a rental fee and he declined, and he took all the flags down. I guess the developer will not pay or can't afford the rental fee plus any other cost that we might have including the roads. He knows how to charge an MX fee to the residents but he doesn't want to pay us a rental fee on the flags! I say what is good for the Goose is good for the Gander. Stop paying for MX. There are a few residents not paying. It is illegal for anyone to be sign up for life and beyond to any utility.

Richard Ralls, our hero
At the CDD meeting last week on Friday Dec 18, A gentleman stood up and said that his house is full of Chinese Drywall causing him a lot of illness, and that he must move out and requested to anyone if they knew of any place where he could stay. My good friend Richard Ralls stood up and said that he has a home for him. He was the only person that came forward to offer this person housing. Yes, there are people in Lake Ashton with a heart that care for other people and what is going on here in our community. 80% of the residents don't care and do nothing and they are all talk, and don't go to the meetings, they expect other people to do all the work, yet they know all the facts and answers, and I can tell you their TV tube is more important. Even Tricia Adams rejected a free Christmas dance show of 35 young kids, ages 7-18, that I wish to put on in the ballroom next Monday Morning on Dec 21, at coffee meeting. When I say Joe Hunter And Tricia Adams just don't care, I mean exactly what I said and I can back it up. My hand goes out to Richard Ralls, for he has done so much for this community, and very few people know it, also Jeff Salvin, president of the CDD, who has a very difficult task to try to make the residents understand what is going on here at Lake Ashton. The L A Times tells you nothing about the good and the bad, absolute nothing. All they do is collect ads and advertise and put all their good friends pictures in the paper, and all this money goes to the Developer. John Chickness has the same problem, he is talking to residents who are deaf. He might as well walk into a closet and talk to himself. The rest of the CDD members are useless and are pro developer, please prove me wrong. I don't make this up, its the truth and sometimes the truth is hard to believe than fiction They are all fighting to improve the roads, put Bingo on the right track and on the right side of the law, fighting to get a NEW Management here at Lake Ashton. The old Management must go because they are bleeding the residents dry and all his employees should follow suit. A new management could save us as much as $100,000 a year. We need a flesh look at lake Ashton with new faces and much better ideas. Lets bring Lake Ashton back to the good old days when there were little problems. We want no phonies here like we have now.
I don't make this up and lets support Richard Ralls, Jeff Salvin, and John Chickness, they are all spending their time and their own money to make this a better community. I might add that I have spend my own money in mailings, time and research in getting this community back to where it was when I first moved in. This Friday I will tell you all what I did for this community along with some of the CDD members. After this Friday I hope to hear from you either pro or con, but be my guest and speak out or forever hold your peace. Your name will not be published unless you wish it to be.

Bingo Paul plays Pool?
Last night Monday Dec 14, while I was playing Pool, Bingo Paul comes flying in the billiard room and accuses me of not allowing him to take his Bingo money to replace the carpet in the Ballroom in front of 20 pool players. Paul you can do any dam thing you want, I don't know why you enter the pool room and shouted at me??? What did I do? Are you having troubles at home like Tiger Woods? Please don't take it out on me. Stick to calling numbers, thats about all you can do. This guy is still going by my home and calling me names again on Monday Dec 14. Paul you got my name wrong! I talked with Joe Hunter about you and he says it's OK to shout at residents and call them names. A New Lake Ashton Policy. When is is going to grow up? Do what you want Paul, I don't make the laws. You been breaking the law for over two years and getting the CDD and also the HOA in hot water.. Even the person that picks the 50/50 is in trouble. It is illegal and against the law to have a lottery. Where have you been? Are you above the law? You want everyone in jail to join you when you go? This guy still doesn't understand the picture. I guess he lives in Lake Ashton around residents with deaf ears.
Letter fron Anna about Charity shows
I read your post today regarding charity shows and Give Kids the World. We have enough charity events here in Lake Ashton now without adding any more. We all give to our own charities as well. My question to you is: Do you volunteer to work at Give Kids the World like other Lake Ashton residents do? If not, it is time to put your actions where your mouth is. Your Elvis show (which I attended) was terrible! It was a bad showing for Lake Ashton and probably hurt the entertainment shows. Stick to what you do best....fishing, and quit bashing our beautiful community. You help NO ONE and hurt EVERYONE.
Happy holidays to you!
Anna
Yes, I Volunteered three times last year. This year I had a accident. Now these SOB are stealing my show I was going to put on this coming Spring. Neil Diamond and Barbara Streisand. But that's all right, you say my show is crap but you will see this show when it comes. People like you make no sense at all. As far as this community is concern, yes it is beautiful, but the developer is putting the boots to us. READ MY BLOG, ITS THE TRUTH>

Edmund King Charity show.
It is better to have Joe Hunter put on a show at the coffee morning meetings at a cost of $137,000, residents seem to like it , than to have Edmund King put on a show for charities, children who don't have long to live. In the house of stars there are thousands of names on the ceiling of decease children with their names on every star. Like Joe Hunter said, these shows take away people that would otherwise see the entertainment series shows. This is how this guy thinks, and he gets $137,000 a year. I would like to know how long it took him to raise his right hand until he got it right. Give me a break.

Mr Blog King...
What has you soooo angry with Mr Hunter. He does a wonderful job every Monday at Coffee meetings...
He does the Pledge of Allegiance ..Something OBAMA refuses to do... He asks for new people to stand and say hello.
He collects his $137,000 salary that you pay for.
Tell me....What do you expect for such a small amount of pay ??
Would you be in favor of a complete change in management companies ??? If so...stand up and request it....WHO KNOWS IT MIGHT HAPPEN..

Now you know Updated Dec 14
Lake Ashton community is in a big mess, very poor Christmas lighting at the gate house, too much money has gone for Attorneys with no results. Christmas lights on homes are getting less and less, including my home with no lights. For 4 years I put up lights, now this year no lights, why should I have pay to light up my home in Lake Ashton, when Lake Ashton is too cheap to light up their clubhouse and entrance gate. No Christmas spirit. I am protested against paying for the ballroom for use in charity shows, and free shows, I hope you will follow me and leave your outdoor lights in your boxes. I lost two daughters to cancer, one just last April with 2 children and in 1997 with four children. I myself fell from a ladder 20 ft on June 20, spend 4 weeks in the hospital and two weeks in rehab. I was just a mess of broken bones. I came within seconds of being decease. Now I have to go through all this crap all over again in Lake Ashton.
Letter from HOA to CDD dated Jun 3, 2009
Jeff Salvin, Chairman
Lake Ashton Community Development District 5701 N. Pine Island Road
Suite 370
Ft. Lauderdale, FL 33321
We, the HOA Board of Directors, are writing this letter regarding a report that has circulated around the Lake Ashton community recently indicating that the developer has offered a sum of $71, 000.00 for repairing the current roads in LA 1
It is our understanding that Mr. Shriver, when he was chairperson of the CDD, repeatedly stated "that the developer would not leave this development without repairing all the roads". It appears that the offer being made now is simply a band~aide when, in fact, the problem is a compound fracture that continues to deteriorate.
Due to construction vehicle traffic the roads have deteriorated to their present condition and our now in need of total replacement. They will continue to get worse as this situation continues to drag on without any action.
The sales office continues to show this beautiful property but no remedy has been forthcoming to repair the roads according to Florida road construction standards.
We, therefore, request the CDD Board to pursue any legal avenue necessary with regard to the developer and the City of Lake Wales who we also believe have overlooked their fiduciary responsibility and continue to disregard their responsibilities towards this issue.

Truth, you can see by your numbers that you are in the minority at Lake Ashton.
The majority of residents LOVE it here. They bought their homes where they wanted to live.
They read the covenants and decided that they agreed with the covenants. They choose to maintain their property values by maintaining the community.
My guess is that the residents don't support Mr. Salvin, who has promised great (and expensive) lawyers to produce great results. Yet, in almost a year, what has he done besides commit your money and mine to legal fees without results?
He dreams big and accomplishes nothing besides sending CDD business to his friends with lofty fees.
Before Mr. Salvin took office, the community was vibrant, active and cohesive. He has divided friends and neighbors. And, what is the result? More lawyers, more outlay of your money and still the same issues remain.
He is an angry man who wants others to be unhappy so that he can feel part of a group!
We care, we want to support charities, we strive to keep property values high. But we are thwarted by Mr. Salvin who proudly pushes for more and higher fees, threats that go nowhere and more legal costs.
Most residents do not have concerns with the costs to live here or fees associated with the community. They made their choices based on what they wanted and the life they wanted to live. What they resent is the anger and trash talking at CDD meetings, the absolute hatred Mr. Salvin exhibits toward his board and residents and the way he tries to diminish the values of our homes by encouraging lawsuits.
Who the heck would buy a home here after reading his comments.
Think about that, while he thinks his actions help all of us, they don't. He does more damage talking trash about Lake Ashton than the developer who does not take negative stands on Lake Ashton.
Happy Holiday to you, Truth. I hope Santa brings you something you truly want ... and a little peace on Earth for all of us!
The Truth replies.
I would have to agree with you 100%. I tried to give a charity show at the ballroom. $375.00 What about my time. Than I tried to give a charity show at the HFC, Joe Hunter says around $250. When we all moved in 4 years ago the ball room was free to all residents. This place has gone down hill. I long longer have respect for Lake Ashton, Joe Hunter and its developer and I will not put on a charity show if I am being charged. There will be up coming stories about Jeff Salvin. This guy has destroyed this community.

Defective Chinese Drywall Problems
The Homeowners Consumer Center in Washington, D.C says Chinese drywall has allegedly been used in residential construction in all 50 states, but mainly in Florida, Louisiana and Virginia, between 200,000 and 300,000 residences could be impacted nationwide.
Anyone who owns a house built between 2002 and 2007 could have a problem with contaminated drywall. Americas Watchdog Consumer center officials believe the toxic drywall entered the country at the ports of Long Beach, Oakland and Seattle/Tacoma starting in 2001 and that homebuilders and contractors began using it a year or so later.
Consumers who bought homes during the housing boom are also worried that Chinese drywall problems can lead to electrical problems, thus making it difficult to sell their homes. Drywall, also known as wallboard or plasterboard, is typically made from the mineral gypsum in the US, but a shortage led suppliers to import drywall from gypsum mines in China.
Homeowners are concerned over the potential for property damage and health problems resulting from drywall from China that reportedly leaks corrosive chemicals. Reports include copper tubing turning black, the failure of air conditioning coils exposed to the drywall, smells of sulfur and illness (possibly from breathing airborne sulfuric compounds), including respiratory problems, nosebleeds and headaches.
Currently, The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is working with the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), the Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry (ATSDR), the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA), and state health departments to learn about possible health problems from living in a home with imported drywall and how to advise the public to protect their health. Furthermore, CDC is working with federal agencies responsible for indoor and outdoor air testing to ensure that the results can help answer health questions.
Drywall Building Inspectors
One home inspector suggests that no home should be sold in the state of Florida (the epicenter of Chinese drywall complaints) that was built after 2000 without being tested for contaminated drywall. According to Florida's Intuitive Environmental Solutions, an environmental consulting and inspection firm specializing in indoor air quality and mold contamination issues, the gypsum material used in some of the imported drywall was initially used as filter media in the smokestacks of coal-fired power plants to reduce air pollution. The gypsum material was used to remove contaminants from the high-sulfur-content coal.
The firm suspects that some of the drywall imported from China in 2004 and 2005 to states such as Florida, Louisiana and Virginia was made with waste products taken from scrubbers on coal-fired power plants. Those materials can subsequently off-gas into the atmosphere, and when those gases combine with moisture on air conditioning coils they create sulfuric acid. This in turn, appears to be dissolving solder joints and copper tubing, creating leaks, blackening the coils and causing air conditioning systems to fail. In addition, copper wiring, piping and copper associated with refrigerators inside some homes are corroding along with mirrors, jewelry, faucets and drains. Some homeowners have reported fixtures—such as towel racks—falling off their walls.
Chinese Drywall Lawsuits
As of March 10, 2009 six class-action lawsuits had been filed in Florida on behalf of more than 2,000 homeowners in that state who claim their homes are eroding because of contaminated drywall. Miami-based Lennar Corp., one of the largest homebuilders in the United States and California, has been named as a defendant. Lennar Corp. has subsequently filed suit against numerous U.S. drywall manufacturers, which reportedly ordered drywall made in China and then shipped it into the US.
In June 2009, the U.S. Judicial Panel on Multidistrict Litigation (MDL) consolidated many lawsuits regarding Chinese-made drywall installed in U.S. homes. According to masstortdefense.com, the motion for consolidation encompassed ten actions, four of which were in the Southern District of Florida, three actions in the Middle District of Florida and one action each in the Northern District of Florida, Eastern District of Louisiana, and Southern District of Ohio. The MDL panel said it knew of 67 related lawsuits that were pending in federal courts around the country.
The lawsuits allege sulfur compound levels in the drywall are too high, causing issues with air conditioning systems, electrical appliances, internal wiring and other electrical systems in homes. Plaintiffs also claim the contaminated drywall produces a rotten egg-like stench and causes a variety of respiratory and other health problems for those who live in the affected homes. The lawsuits filed so far have named Chinese-based manufacturers, as well as importers, developers and builders, contractors, suppliers and others. Companies facing suits include Knauf Gips KG, Knauf Plasterboard Tianjin Co., Taishan Gypsum Co., L&W Supply Corp. and USG Corp. Lennar Corp., a major home builder, has brought in more than 20 manufacturers, suppliers and installers.
Lawsuits in other states, including California, are currently pending.

Construction Watchdog Group Secures $5 Million in Federal Funding to Fix Chinese Drywall Problems in Louisiana Baton Rouge, LA: Louisiana homeowners struggling with Chinese drywall problems in the wake of Hurricanes Katrina and Rita may be in luck, as the Louisiana Recovery Authority (LRA) has announced a $5 million plan to replace the toxic material in homes across the state.
Strong Association Found Between Chinese Drywall and Respiratory Problems A federal investigation into Chinese drywall has revealed a strong association between the respiratory problems reported by homeowners and the defective drywall. The respiratory problems are believed to be brought on by a combination of formaldehyde, which is common in newly built homes, and hydrogen sulfide off-gasing from the drywall.

LAKE WALES | Two years ago, Ron Maness of 5305 Nicklaus Drive, bought a new investment home in the gated Lake Ashton golf community in Lake Wales.
Stencil on back of drywall in the attic of Ron Maness 1,300 sq. ft. house at Lake Ashton in Lake Wales, Florida November 20, 2009. Maness says his house in Lake Ashton was built using Chinese drywall.
Ron Maness owned 2 bedroom 2 bathroom house at Lake Ashton in Lake Wales, Florida November 20, 2009. Maness says the house was built using Chinese drywall.
Problems started earlier this year when the vacant home's air conditioner suddenly failed and needed a new coil. Maness' first tenant arrived in September but moved out a few weeks later, complaining of a strange sulfur odor that wouldn't go away.
A home inspector found blackened copper wiring, and a subsequent lab test confirmed the home was built with defective Chinese drywall. Maness, 54, says his $250,000 investment is now a liability.
"The house is uninhabitable. It's unrentable. It's unsellable," the Winter Haven resident said. "It's basically worthless in this condition."
Despite the rash of complaints across Florida from homeowners with imported Chinese drywall, Polk County seemed to be largely unaffected. Of a total 638 cases reported to the Department of Health, just five originated in Polk, according to the most recent available data.
Scott Coulombe, director of the Polk County Builders Association, said none of the group's members has reported issues with defective Chinese drywall.
However, the tenant who complained of odors in Maness' home was living there because her own house had been constructed with defective Chinese drywall. That home, built by Lennar in the Traditions at Lake Ruby development in Winter Haven, is currently being renovated by the developer.
"Lennar is continuing to do the right thing by repairing homes built with defective drywall imported from China," the division president, Mark Metheny, wrote in an e-mail to The Ledger.
Lennar officials would not comment on how many homes are being fixed in Polk. According to an October filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission, the company has about 500 homes statewide with defective drywall.
Maness said he contacted Lake Ashton's developer about the drywall in his home but hasn't received a response in weeks. The developer, Mastercraft Homes (part of the Lakeland-based Century real estate group), did not return calls seeking comment.
Michael Woodard, who inspected Maness' home, said he has inspected three other houses in Lake Ashton with signs of defective drywall.
"Homeowners are being cautious," said Woodard, of AmeriSpec Home Inspection Services in Winter Haven. "They're scared to bring it to people's attention" because of concerns about insurance and resale value.
The U.S. Product Safety Commission has counted more than 2,000 reports from homeowners who think their homes have defective Chinese drywall. Most were built in 2006 and 2007 and are in Florida.
The commission has released a report showing a "strong association" between defective drywall and the corrosion of metals in homes, identifying hydrogen sulfide gas as the cause. Many homeowners with the defective drywall also have complained of respiratory problems and other ailments.
According to a recent report by the St. Petersburg Times, property appraisers in Hillsborough, Pinellas and Pasco counties are lowering the assessed values of affected homes by as much as 50 percent.
The Polk County property appraiser's Web site has added a form for local homeowners to report Chinese drywall. A spokesman for the office said it has written down the value of two local homes with Chinese drywall - one by 30 percent, the other by 40 percent.
Following the lead of other affected owners, Maness said he has joined a class-action lawsuit against Knauf, the manufacturer of his drywall, but says he is dismayed by the lack of response from Lake Ashton officials.
"If someone is made aware of a problem, how could they not do anything?" he asked.

Attorney Miller
He says at the present time there are no records on file in Lake Wales on the roads being built here at Lake Ashton, therefore we have no recourse to a law suit. We can't go after the city so we would have to go after the developer. To get this information it took six months instead of one month. It would cost between $4,650,000 to $9,000,000 to repair these roads. Yes, this money will be paid by you in higher maintenance fees. We at Lake Ashton pay very high taxes but its not going to repair our roads, its all going to repair the roads in Lake Wales. What a deal. Lake wales would not touch these roads because they were not build by Lake Wales even thought they were build by bonded money. John Chickness, CDD committee member clearly stated that these roads are no good. If we go to court it would cost $200,000 court cost. Attorneys would charge $1,000 an hour to fight this case. This is a no win deal and you can't sue the city and the developer will not talk to you and 98% of the people don't care.
At last count 5 plus homes here at Lake Ashton have Chinese drywall
Sable Loop, Berwick Drive, Nicklaus Dr and Snead Dr have been reported to have Chinese Drywall. The count is still climbing. Please E-mail me any information on this subject, Thanks lakeashtontalk@yahoo.com

Chinese Drywall here at Lake Ashton?.

Mr. Maxwell
As a long time resident of your beautiful development ,7 yrs this past October to be exact and owner of two homes, let me just say I am very disappointed by the article in the Ledger Newspaper today Dec. 8 in the fact that you would let this problem with Chinese drywall get to this level. Its bad enough that we have all taken a hit because of the recession with the devaluation of our properties falling by as much as 50% and now we are faced with another black eye to the community. Mr. Maxwell I think that if you will ask Mr. Mark Schreiber, Joe Hunter or any of your staff out here that my wife and I have always promoted and defended Lake Ashton among many negative comments from some of these folks in the community. I think it is your financial obligation to do what ever is necessary to insure that all of these homes are not in any way affected by this Chinese drywall dilemma. Mr. Maxwell the newspaper makes reference to the homes only built between 2006 and 2007 well I don't know if that is true or not. After moving in our home in 2002 and after being here for about a year and a half my wife and I began to experience short bouts with respiratory infections and really couldn't understand why when both of us exercise every day and try to take care of ourselves. We began to notice black soot looking material around the edges our carpet, coming out of the air vents, black soot halo around the pictures on the walls and this material was covering our cloths. After numerous attempts with the air-conditioning folks out here we were told by their experts that it was a phenomenon and they didn't know what it was. At this point we did not know who to turn to however we were friends with Lonnie Adams who at the time I think was your project engineer. We asked Lonnie to come and inspect our house and by his advise he asked us to find someplace to go for a week while they corrected this problem. At the end of the day my wife and I had been living in a house full of mold which had permeated the air handler and the duct work through out the house and we are very grateful that Lonnie stepped to the plate no questions asked while we were out of the expense of ripping up the carpet, repainting the inside of our house and throwing our clothes away.
Today I can go out side in the garage and look at the ceiling around the air handler and again it is getting black with mold..............................Makes you wonder doesn't?
Respectfully

Lake Ashton is not the community it use to be, thanks to the CDD and Joe Hunter.
The developer with all his money and 23 communities and more plus a bank wants money to rent the HFC ballroom, somewhere around $250.00, this Joe Hunter does not know, what does he know? Give me the cost,Joe, not I think it is. This ballroom is own by the developer. Every CDD member does not live here at Lake Ashton West. Does he give any money to the need. I have no respect for anyone that is so cheap and on top of this there are four lawyers that are looking into his activities here at Lake Ashton. Yes, most of you believe this is paradise, with homes made of drywall from China. I can rest assure you this is not paradise. With China Drywall in your home makes your home worth 1/2 to 2/3 of its value, yet he says nothing and will do nothing. What are we paying maintenance fees for, repair the bowling alley for $250,000, We pay $1600 for maintenance fees a year, for what. All this makes me sick. And on top of this you believe in do nothing Joe Hunter. We must pay a fee to rent the ballroom to raise money for children who have cancer or a death disease where their life will be cut short, before they reach the age of 21, How cheap can this person be????? Does he have a heart??? He much rather give money to dog shelters than children. If you wish to use this ballroom you must pay $375.00 as a resident. I give up, give me a break. woof woof I guess most of you people don't know what it is to lose your child or have your home fill with drywall from China. When you finely wake up, you will say Ed you are 100% right.
Joe Hunter "Do Nothing" What is going on?
I was going to have a show here at Lake Ashton at the HFC center but Joe Hunter has other plans. Here is his reply has to what I was going to do.
Mr. Doe/King,
March 5 is already booked. The only available date in March on the week-end is March 19. The CDD board asks that you not have Streisand or Diamond since they will be on next year’s Entertainment Series. There will be a small room fee.($250.00 or somewhere in that area)
Thank you,
Joe Hunter
This is how they treat all residents here at Lake Ashton. All the money is going to give Kids the World and the developer and Joe Hunter wants about $250 on or about, why doesn't he just say a few thousand dollars. Please. all residents wake up to this type of treatment. And on top of this they are stealing my show and using it for the entertainment series next year. Joe Hunter please pack your bag and get out of Lake Ashton. And on top of this he is telling me not to have Streisand and Diamond here. They will be notify of this action.

Ronald White our loveable, friendly HOA President
Whoever you are if you can’t sign your name then don’t send me any more emails. Said Mr Ronald White
This is a message from Ronald White, A very unfriendly person whom I send a very important message with my name on the end of every message. Boo Boo to him. I will never waste my time talking or writing to him. He is another Mr Know it All. How in hell could he get elected with his altitude.

CDD MEETING THIS FRI @ 10AM
The CDD Attorney will discuss the road issue and also the boat dock issue. This is one meeting you don't want to miss. Lake ashton has lawyers all over the place. HOA also has a attorney. Bingo has a attorney. Joe Hunter says this is paradise. I have a feeling I am missing an attorney somewhere.

Bingo Paul Pontious
Again today, Dec 8, 2009, he goes by my home and shouts Ass Hole to me as I was entering the driveway from his Cream color convertible car. Yesterday he gave me the entire hand plus his finger while I was playing Billiards on Monday night from the hallway at the entrance door, He was seen by another person on the CDD committee , same time as Bingo. One week prior to that on Monday night Nov 30, he was outside by my golf cart has I was about to go home, and again he shouts ass hole to me. What was he doing by my golf cart? Like I said earlier this year he went by my house while he was playing golf and called me a Ass Hole. Is this the only thing he knows and they got this guy in charge of Bingo. It was not me that broke all the rules of Bingo. Why is he blaming me? This guy is ill and should see a shrink.
MX Communications
In our covenants, it says that if you are not happy with the MX, the residents must vote on it or against it and it must be 2/3 of the vote before a Lawyer can be hired to act on it. The HOA can only wait until all the votes come back and be counted. The developer has all the loops and holes covered. He needs the money and it won't be easy. He needs all the residents money and then some, I'm thinking about taking up a collection.
Keep up the good work HOA and don't give up on the MX, remember its the people that voted you in so don't let them down. My opinion on the MX is this is a outright scam.
You people must wake up the the CRF or developer. I wish I could tell you what I think of him but I would get in trouble. If your interested please e-mail me at lakeashtontalk@yahoo.com

Chinese Drywall Problems
All you home owners that have Chinese Drywall in your Home must get together and filed a class action suit against CRF in other words the Developer. Don't waste your time writing to him or calling him. He will not return your phone call or write to you back. You are totally wasting your time in doing this. Unlike Lennar they are dealing with the problem but our developer is not, that is the way he is. After you file the court papers until the time of court he will settle out of court just before court date.
I wrote about this problem a few months ago, but like all Lake Ashton Residents they pay no attention to my website. Wake up and read what is going on and you be better off.

Chinese Drywall Problems
Drywall may be Leaking Potentially Toxic Gases
People in housing developments in Florida, California, Arizona, and other states are concerned over the potential for property damage and health problems resulting from drywall from China that reportedly leaks corrosive chemicals.
Drywall Reports from residents include copper tubing turning black, the failure of air conditioning coils exposed to the drywall, and smells of sulfur.
According to reports, Dan Reid who is with Intuitive Environmental Solutions in Florida, has researched the problem, and suspects that some of the drywall imported from China in 2004 and 2005 was made with waste products taken from scrubbers on coal-fired power plants. Those materials can subsequently off-gas into the atmosphere, and when those gases combine with moisture on air conditioning coils they create sulfuric acid. This in turn, appears to be dissolving solder joints and copper tubing — creating leaks, blackening the coils and even causing the system to fail, he said.
There is also the potential for health problems stemming from breathing airborn sulfuric compounds and the very unpleasant smell.

Chinese Drywall Problems
CHARLOTTE COUNTY: The Southwest Florida real estate market is littered with its fair share of problems.
There is now one more thing that’s making a sale more difficult: Chinese dry wall.
“We don't need anymore obstacles in this market,” said Lisa Levendofsky, realtor at Coldwell Banker in Punta Gorda.
Used widely in the area during the 2004-2005 construction boom, Chinese dry wall can emit sulfide gases which corrodes copper and smells like rotten eggs.
In some cases, when it comes down to signing a contract to sell a new home, real estate agents say Chinese drywall can make or break a deal.
“We show them there could be Chinese dry wall. Buyer beware,” Levendofsky said. “Now we have a disclosure we sign with every contract,” she said.
