Bad Advice
The people of Lake Ashton just got to remember that when it comes to money, The developer will say OK, do it. But when it come to paying out he says "see my Lawyer". Our developer is getting bad advice, can you imagined building all those house lots and club house in the West knowing that the housing boom was going down hill. Only a fool would do such a thing. He is very greedy, and all he thinks about is himself. He hides from the public because he does not want to answer any questions. People with all that money are not happy, they are busy thinking of ways to make more. He build that Club House in the West as bait to attract buyers, but that did not happen. The bait died, and so did the house lots.

2-story villas
I am asking your help to keep Lake Ashton West beautiful since many of our members live over here (including me).
Traditions III plans to build 2-story villas right behind my house 10-15' from the fence line. This will not be pretty. It will affect the value of my home as well as my view.
My neighbors (Lynne & Larry Judd) found out all the details and gave maps to those of us who will be affected by these plans. They also gave a sample letter & included who to send it to. I am merely asking your help to further their efforts. Attached is my version of a sample letter (originally based on Larry & Lynne's letter) - please feel free to edit and use it. WINTER HAVEN | CenterState Bank of Florida and its holding company have lost longtime board member Larry Maxwell.

Maxwell, the chairman of Lakeland-based Century Realty Funds, resigned from the board of CenterState and its Davenport-based holding company, CenterState Banks Inc., on Aug. 5, according to a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
"Mr. Maxwell reported that his decision to resign was based on other business issues and personal time constraints," the filing reads. "He further stated that he intends to continue to be a valued customer of CenterState and a supportive shareholder."
Maxwell was a founding director of CenterState Bank and owned more than 1.6 million shares, or roughly 6 percent, of the holding company's total common stock, as of March. Two days prior to his resignation from the boards, Century Realty Funds filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection for a handful of its affiliate companies.
Maxwell's lawyer, Ron Clark of Lakeland, said the bankruptcy filings stemmed from more than $61 million in outstanding loans on commercial projects with BB&T and Wells Fargo banks, which were unwilling to extend loans on various commercial properties.
Clark said Maxwell's decision to leave the CenterState boards wasn't necessarily tied to the Century affiliates' financial issues.
"He's working very hard in a lot of areas and if he can't give something 100 percent he's not going to do it. That's his nature," Clark said.
John Corbett, president and chief executive of CenterState Bank, called Maxwell a "great advocate for the bank."
