Yard Sign
From a guy in Virginia :
My neighbor is a "lefty" of sorts (Obama bumper stickers, gung-ho socialized medicine,
"guns should be banned", etc.). So this past spring I put this sign up in my yard after one
of his anti-gun rants at a neighborhood cocktail party. The sign wasn't up more than an
hour before he called the police and wanted them to make me take down the sign.
Fortunately, the officer politely informed him that it was not their job to take such
action without a court order and that he had to file a complaint "downtown" first, which
would be reviewed by the city attorney to see if it violated any city, county, or state
ordinances, which if there was a violation a court order would be sent to the offending
party (me) to "remove the sign in seven days".
After several weeks he was informed that the sign was legal (by a quarter of an inch)
and there was nothing the city could do, which obviously made him madder. I tried to
smooth things over by inviting him to go shooting with me and my friends at the hunt
club but that seemed to make him even more angry. I then asked him if he wanted to
go to a Tea Party rally but again he declined my outreach efforts to bring about a better
understanding between political and social opponents. I am at a loss how to reconcile
our long relationship (notice I did not say friendship), any suggestions would be welcome.
Maybe I'll ask him if he want to go deer hunting, which opens up November 1st, you know,
just a bunch of guys running through the woods chasing Bambi, then sitting around the
campfire roasting marshmallows, drinking beer, and singing our favorite country songs
to the accompaniment of Jake's harmonica (he is a better lawyer than a harmonica player
but don't tell him I told you). I even made him a bumper sticker and that made him madder
than he already was! Anyway, that's life in our neck of the woods, how's about yours?

SENIOR CITIZENS DEATH WARRANTS
Rec'd this from a good friend of ours in Corpus who was diagnosed with cancer last year. See what his doctor is saying....
Wednesday, I was at the doctor whom I have been going to since we moved down here (he is the one who discovered my cancer). I have to get a very expensive shot every 3 months ($3000) that is designed to keep the PSA down and help to prevent a recurrence of the cancer. Has some uncomfortable side effects, and I was questioning the need to continue with it, which he assured me was necessary. He then asked how old I was, and when I replied 70, he said that if this legislation goes through as intended by the powers that be, that I probably would not be able to get it next year, as that would be money better spent on someone else with greater longevity. I would be referred to someone to "counsel" me.
I asked him why the AMA had recently endorsed the plan. He replied that only about 15% of the nation's doctors were members of AMA, and most of them were not really on the front lines of doctorhood but in some other areas of medicine. He said he was a member, but would not be after this membership year.
This man got part of his training in London, and practiced in Canada for 16 years before coming to the US, and he has no use for socialized medicine, regardless of how you wrap it, or what kind of bow to put on it. He said that we have a shortfall of around 400,000 doctors at the present time, and many of today's doctors are of the baby boomer generation who are nearing retirement and/or will decide to hang it up rather than deal with the results this is sure to bring.
Scary, my friends. The picture for our age group is not pretty in Obamaland.

Obama wants to have a healthcare system just like Canada's and England's. I got this today and am sending it on. If Obama's plans in other areas don't scare you, this should. Please do not let Obama sign senior death warrants.

Please use the power of the Internet to get this message out. Talk it up at the grassroots level. We have an election coming up in less than a year. And we have the ability to address and reverse the dangerous direction the Obama administration and its allies have begun and in the interim, we can make their lives miserable. Let's do this!

PAUL PONTIOUS , AND HIS OWN SET OF RULES
This Message is being sent to all the HOA members David Ross, Carol Hanson, Stephen Mattox, Jackie Perez, John Castelli, and Ralph Marino, Paul makes up his own rules therefor this message will not be going to him because he knows it all and he has his own set of rules, NO ONE WILL TELL HIM WHAT TO DO. As you well know Jessie Ayres used to run Bingo until Paul Pontious got the idea that he should be in charged of Bingo and the money. The money being the big factor. He had better ideas for use of the Bingo money and knows nothing about the Florida law on Bingo. Paul was going around telling residents that Jessie had taken $30,000 when he left. I ask Jessie about this and he said that is a lie. Jessie got fed up with Paul telling him what to do, do this and do that, Paul did nothing but ordered Jessie around like a little kid. Jessie said the hell with this, I am out of here, sold his home at a loss and got out.
Lets get to the point:
The L A Times has a limit of 150 words on any article, yet in the December issue he wrote an entire page of over 850 words about he he did with the money, and again in the April issue he had another article well over 300 words what he was going to do as a HOA member. Why has this guy keeps breaking the rules of the management. Is Joe Hunter behind all this? I can't write one lousily article in the L A Times. Please note where he said he was spending the money on. This is all illegal. He violated the Florida Law on Bingo. All money must go to charity. PERIOD.
Lets go to Bingo:
He has violated the law of Florida by giving money from Bingo to help repair the clubhouse, bocce ball green, a laptop computer to make presentations, a bird deterrent, kick plates for the pavilion, poinsettias for Christmas, bought billiard balls for the billiard room, hand vacuum system,supplies for duplicate bridge and on and on and on. Please note the Bingo law says all money collected must go to Charity. This does not sound like charity. Paul said it all in the article he wrote in the L A Times in December..
Also he lets all his volunteers pay only 50% for their Bingo Cards and the Bingo players pay full price yet they receive the same prize money we do. This is illegal.
Please make note that when the Summer months get slow, the prize money is still the same, why is that, simple, he puts money away from the good winter months and gives it out in the summer. This is illegal. All money must be given out on that same Bingo Night.
Records must be kept on all Bingo money each Bingo Monday. This he does not do. He said at the meeting that the records will be ready in a month. This is illegal. All money must be accounted for each Bingo night.
Why is he getting away with all this illegal crap? What are you people on the HOA doing about all this? NOTHING Did you know he is being investigated by the investigating unit and they did give him a call. They will be looking at his records.
When I was playing Billiards with 20 other players, he came in on Monday and said he had $30,000 and your not going to get it. Plus calling me an idiot because I started all this trouble. Every time he goes by my home he sticks his finger up and calls me an idiot. Joe Hunter does nothing but tells me I should call the police. PAUL AND JOE HUNTER ARE GOOD FRIENDS. DOES THIS SCARE YOU GUYS? THIS MAKES EVERYTHING LEGAL?

Paul Pontious, again in the news
It has been said that in the summer when Bingo is very slow the prize money is still the same. How is that possible? Bingo Paul thinks of all the angles. When the cold season is here, the Bingo ballroom is pack full of people and there is much money to be giving out, but there is too much money. Bingo Paul thinks of all the angles. He takes some of this money and puts it aside for the summer Bingo months so the prize money would be just has good. That is why he has $30,000 in his pocket and he said it to all those in the billiard room giving me hell and calling me a idiot. Yes, he said this in front of 20 or more pool players. Yes, he then takes some of this money and gives it out in the summer months when there is just a few players. This is illegal, all money he receives on that day must be given out on that day. Paul, why are you changing the Bingo laws of Florida? It has also been said that the HOA will ask him to step down from Bingo even if he is on the HOA Board. There will be a HOA meeting this Friday and it would be very interesting. Bingo will be the main topic. See you there.

Bingo Paul and his helpers
Paul has allow his helpers to purchase Bingo Cards at 50% off our cost. If they win, they would get 100% of the prize money and if we win we would get the same. This is illegal and Paul again broke the law, yet he was elected to the HOA has one of the biggest law breaking crooks here in Lake Ashton. I just don't believe it. Al Capone would have a field day here. Ashton residents would elect any crook to be elected to any post. I guess they are reading the management control L A Times.

Scrap the Bowling Alley
It will cost has much as $500,000 to repair the white elephant. No community has a bowling alley, now you know why. They are too costly, need repairs, replacement parts are very expensive. But I might has well talk to a bare wall, no one listens. I say dump it and use it has a card room. Is it worth $500,000 to repair this alley, NO. CASE DISMISS. All ready $50,000 has gone down the tubes. They need another idea and I just gave you mine.

The director of Karaoke has not been paid. What is going on? Is anyone getting paid? This place is beginning to look like a meat market. Everyone is running around with their heads chop off.
