On March 1, we had a complete full house of 420 people to see MDT give a tribute to ELVIS. Dennis Thornberry MDT as ELVIS dedicated his talents to the late Elvis Presley. The ballroom itself is a trip back in time to the mid 1950's when ELVIS played theaters all over the country. Before the show started Ed King talked about the life and legend of ELVIS. After the introduction the lights begin to fade once again and this time you hear the rumble of drums and "2001 Space Odyssey" The ballroom, the music, the energy, the full house back to the early years of Rock and Roll. Even the ladies in the audience began to scream when he comes near them as if they were 16 again. A few of the ladies received his scarfs while he was singing. Many songs later and a complete trip Thu the hits of the Mid and late 1950's, many people did not want to leave their seats in fear they might be missing something during intermission. One last song, a drum roll, a few Elvis style bows, some shaking of hands, he was gone.

We raise $1500.00 for Give Kids the World and for the last show in Florida on March 2 he went to their Village in Kissimmee and perform for the kids and gave the check to the Village. The kids were wonderful and they all had a good time. He ask one of the kids do you know who I am and she reply "no". To see all the children watch MDT perform was a welcome sight.

Once again I hope to bring tribute shows to Lake Ashton to raise money for Give Kids the World.
