A resident got approval to Florida landscape my lawn and now the ARC is trying to recondite the original approval.
"Sunshine mimosa was requested and approved for use as your ground cover throughout the property. However, despite the mild weather, the ground cover has died in substantial part of the front landscape bed. Because of this, the approval for use of sunshine mimosa is rescinded."

Lake Ashton Community

They don’t like my blog called lakeashtontalk.blogspot.com telling the residents of Lake Wales what is really going on in here at Lake Ashton.  There are well over 500 business cards in the library so I left mine with all the others.   The only problem is that they don’t like me and my Blog telling  the residents what the real truth is in this community.  They also accuse me of placing my business car on the golf carts 3 times outside in the parking lot.   The last time I was out of state in Boston/Maine when this happen.

They claim my card is subject to the  their policies, under section 21 that states commercial advertisements shall not be posted or circulated in the amenity facilities.  My card does not sell anything but simply tells the residents of this community  the truth has to what is going on here, and they ban me for four months.  Don’t they know how to read?  What they are really saying is shut up Mr King and shut off the blog or we will be on your back.

Another time the police were called about a AK-47 being in my home.  They came over knocking on my door looking for my AK-47.  I told them you must be crazy anyhow come on in  and please be free to look around.  They found no AK-47.  The management of this community will do  anything to shut me up.  The person that called the police was non other than the Mayor Jack Van Sickle at that time.

When Paul Pontious took over Bingo by force from Jesse Helms, Jesse came him all the money he had approx $11.000.  Paul took the money and  now its all missing.  Paul kept tens of thousands of dollars from the Bingo players and took all his Bingo helpers to the Brazilian restaurants by a rented bus.  All  Bingo helpers get 50% off their Bingo cards.  He also went out to dinner many, many times with his friends and paid the bill with Bingo money.  He also fill his gas tank with gas and bought food for his house with Bingo money.  I have all 5 banks accounts and over 20 pages to prove it.   Never gave a  red cent to a public charity, never paid his State and Federal tax.  He had a illegal 50/50.   We  hired a  Attorney  and he was able to get copies of all FIVE bank accounts of Bingo.  Yes, thousands of dollars is missing.  Also no books of any kind was kept of the winnings or money being taken in.

Bingo Paul was able to write a full page editorial in the Lake Ashton Times when it clearly stated only 150 words or less was allowed.  Trish Adams is in charge of the LA Times and its who you know.  I tried to write a few articles in the LA Times but they were never posted.  I had the Elvis show at the clubhouse  and wrote about how the people reacted.   She did no post it.  .
Also the Management, CDD are keeping out refund tax money from the city of Lake Wales of  $190,000.00.   This money belongs to the residents of Lake Ashton.  Not them.  The Club house is a meeting place and it should not be taxed and we won the case. But we the residents never got our refund.

I have done a lot for this community including the ban of herbicides being sprayed in Lake Ashton.  They did not like this.  They wanted to kill the weeds in the lake.  Also when it rains the banks would fall into the stream that feeds Lake Ashton and make the lake muddy.  I called the state and they had to plant bushes and trees around the banks.  Now they ban me for 4 months from the clubhouse.  Herbicides being in the lake with the fish we catch.  What will it do to us years down the road after eating this fish.  Remember agent orange?  The government said it does no harm.  Years latter we found out.

I wanted to give a charity show and give all the profit to Give Kids The World like I done a few years ago when I had the Elvis show,  and gave $1,500.00. To give kids the world.  I wanted to put on  another charity show. They said you must pay $750.00 for use of the clubhouse.  .  I said this is a non profit charity show.  They refuse me.  They claim it took away from their entertainment series.

The management and the CDD gets 50% off their meals at the restaurant and why should we  the residents pay the rest.

Trish Adams is now in total control of this community, she is related to the developer Larry Maxwell by marriage.  And as I understand they are a ruthless group of people that are very hard to deal with.  They are dishonest and not truthful.

Out maintenance fees are now reaching $1,900.00 from $800 ten years ago.  We have more homes, approx 1,000 and we still have to pay more.  This makes no sense.  We still have the same old clubhouse.
This community use to have a place for everyone to post our problems called lakeashtonliving.net.  Run by June Young and paid by us.  They decided to shut us off their web site and now the residents can no longer post their problems.
We have a thing called MX.  We have to pay the management for cable and ADT even if we don’t want it.
$72.00 a month.  Many of us go north in the winter so we don’t use it.  It is a waste of money and we are being force to pay it
I can go on and on with mountains of wrong doings here at Lake Ashton.  I have all the papers to back up all my stories.  Over 1,000 sheets and still growing, 3” thick.

Pontious controls this community

Bingo Paul as stated on the record that if he doesn't have complete control of running Bingo and the funds,  he has threatened to stop running Bingo.  Well you know the rest of the story.  Bus load of his friends to the Brazilian  restaurant and dozens of other restaurants, gas for his car,  food for his home, hundreds of T-shirts for his personal use, on and on etc.  Yes, he still has complete control of Bingo and the funds.

He said to David Ross that he shredded the association's records related to Bingo predating 2009.   This letter is dated 8/17/2010.

Bingo Paul and his Five Bank Accounts

It has been two years that I notify Detective investigator  Gordon Obitz about the illegal activity going on at Bingo..  The Fax Transmittal form  dated April 5, 2010 and still nothing was done.  He did make a appearance at the clubhouse on January 11, 2011 and said there was too many people involved and the case is closed.  He also said Paul made a simple mistake.  So we took the next step and notify the state and Federal Government Tax department and also the State District Attorney.  We got word that this case is now coming to a close  within weeks.  Will keep you posted.

80 year old gets married...........again

The local news station was interviewing an 80-year-old lady because
she had just gotten married for the fourth time.

The interviewer asked her questions about her life, about what it
felt like to be marrying again at 80, and then about her new
husband's occupation.

"He's a funeral director," she answered.
"Interesting," the newsman thought.

He then asked her if she wouldn't mind telling him a little about
her first three husbands and what they did for a living.
She paused for a few  moments, needing time to reflect on all those
years.

After a short time, a smile came to her face and she answered
proudly, explaining that she had first married a banker when she was
in her 20's, then a circus ringmaster when in her 40's, and a
preacher when in her 60's, and now - in her 80's - a funeral
director

The interviewer looked at her, quite astonished, and asked why she
had married four men with such diverse careers.
She smiled and explained, "I married
      one for the money,
      two for the show,
      three to get  ready,
      and four to go."

(Oh, just hush-up and send this one on to somebody who needs a
laugh.)

BAN THE RESTAURANT, POT LUCK, MONDAY MORNING COFFEE MEETINGS, BINGO AND ALL CDD AND HOA MEETINGS UNTILL A NEW BOARD GETS ELECTED. THANKS

Jeff Salvin, Board of directors on the CDD

When Jeff Salvin pass away, Trish Adams did not have any editorials in the L A Times about Jeff passing away.  She is only concern about herself and no one else.  This is a sign of things to come.  Jeff did a outstanding job on the CDD and was never mention of his passing.  How cheap can Tricia Adams be.  Believe me she is as cheap as anyone can be.  This is the lady that loves herself and no one else.  She wears her shirt unbutton at the entertainment shows.   I AM SURPRISED THAT THEY DON.T POP OUT.   .  She was the one that had me ban for 4 months from the clubhouse.  She now has the position as Community director by George Flint  and this my friends is a big joke.  Now she has the power to do what ever she wants.  George Flint, you made a bad choice.   AS YOU KNOW SHE IS RELATED TO THE DEVELOPER.  No heart, iron hand.  People please BAN GOING TO THE CLUBHOUSE, RESTAURANT, MONDAY MORNING COFFEE MEETINGS,  ENTERTAINMENT SERIES. POT LUCK  AND BINGO.  United we stand divided we fall.  Lets show her who is running this community, not Trish Adams and her concentration camp and her unbutton shirt.

This proves what we’ve been saying all along, makes your blood run cold. America has to WAKE UP before it’s too late.

THIS EXPLAINS A LOT ABOUT WHAT HAPPENED JUST AFTER THE ELECTION,WHY HILLARY DIDN’T GET THE NOMINATION,
AND WHY MCCAIN WAS VETTED BY THE SENATE AND OBAMA WAS NOT.
THIS ALSO EXPLAINS WHY THE SUPREME COURT WON’T HEAR THE CASE OF INELIGIBILITY THAT WAS PRESENTED TO THE
SUPREME COURT AND WAS IGNORED...

WATCH AND FORWARD !!!
Illegal Obama "Propped Up" By Congress! If you never watch another video, watch this one, this proves the Democrats (And some Republicans)
know Obama is not an American and is serving illegally and unconstitutionally and the efforts they made are recorded in the Congressional
Record, attempting to change the Constitution so he could serve legally.

EVERYONE who cares about and loves this Constitutional Republic absolutely MUST watch and forward this video!!!!!! This one must go viral. I
won't be surprised when the people of this country begin calling for an Impeachment. This guy and his cronies have been intentionally deceiving
the American public and his friends in Congress have been propping him up.Where are our elected representatives, especially the Tea Party
candidates?

This place is full of empty heads

I was behind a lady on Ashton Club Drive going out of the gate going about 10 miles an hour..  She dove over to the left gate and as the gate went up she took a right turn.  Well this story doesn't end here, as she drove up to SR27,  she drove over in the right lane and as the light turn she took a left.  This is typical of the residents here at this Lake Ashton concentration camp run by Trish Adams.  This place is full of disable residents.  Look who we have on the CDD board, all disable people?  I give up.

WHY?

Why is  it that the only information you get is the L A Times?  Their blog banned you for posting any info on anything yet we pay for their blog.  The management wants you to know nothing.  They have total control over you and tell you what they want you to hear.  We pay for their MX even if we are not here, Can't shut it off.  You are stuck with it has long as you live and beyond.  Why do we have to have two attorneys at the CDD meeting, each costing us $1,000 each or $2.000 or more @ $200/hr..  ?  I just don't get it.

Trish Adams, Larry Maxwell relation, reads this blog every morning, what is she looking for flowers?

Trish Adams must be so happy banning me from the club house.  What a NUT.  Its OK if the developer steals the trophy heads worth approx $40,000  but if I put my card down among 500 others its a no no.  How about the other cards Trish.  You are a nut.  You should go see a doctor and have that head of yours looked at.  I am quite sure it needs work done.

The Buddy Holly Story

Go see the Buddy Holly Story in Winter Haven at the Winter Haven Theatre, 210 Cypress Gardens Blvd  SW
863-294-7469  Starts this Thursday thru March 17   Tickets $22.00   I will be there this Saturday, see you all there.   Ban the entertainment series!  They have no right  to ban me for 4 months.  Thanks

Tricia Adams must resign! Go back to Bok Towers

A few years ago after I had the Elvis show, I had a chance to bring in a fantastic performer.  Trish Adams says no because it would hurt the sales of the entertainment series.  She doesn't give a shit for the residents of Lake Ashton, she only thinks of herself.  She must go.  And you know where!  Ban her shows and lets get her out of here.

Grandfathers Don't Know Everything

Grandfathers Don't Know Everything

Hunter was 4 years old and was staying with his grandfather for a few days. He'd been playing outside with the other kids when he came into the house and asked, "Grandpa, what's that called when two people sleep in the same bedroom and one is on top of the other?"

His Grandpa was a little taken aback, but he decided to tell him the truth.

"Well, Hunter, it's called sexual intercourse."

"Oh, Okay," said little Hunter and went back outside to play with the other kids.

A few minutes later he came back in and said angrily, "Grandpa, it's not called sexual intercourse. It's called bunk beds.... and Jimmy's mom wants to talk to you."

Jan Carpenter and George Flint

                Feb 21, 2012
Letter to Jan Carpenter and George Flint, CDD attorneys

Let me set the record straight.

Paul  Pontious, the scam artist of Bingo while playing golf shouted to me while I was in my screen porch playing with my two cats,  called me an idiot, my neighbor next door heard him.     Again a week later I was in my front yard as he drove by in his golf cart, again called me an idiot.  Again while I walked to my golf cart outside the clubhouse after I was playing pool at the club house with the guys he again called me an idiot.   I called Do Nothing Joe Hunter the next morning, and Joe said call the cops.  The next time he walked into the billiard room with about 25 guys shooting pool  and shouted to me you are an idiot Mr. King and I will keep all the money.  Mr. John Chickness, who was on the CDD committee at that  time was there and heard him called me an idiot and said he will keep all the money.   It was the same Paul Pontious who told Joe Hunter that I was putting my business cards on the golf carts even on the day I was 1500 miles away in Boston.  This is the same Paul Pontious who hired a bus and took a bus load of residences to the Brazilian restaurant in Orlando for no less than $45.00 a plate dinner, and also took residents to many other restaurants in the area using Bingo Money many times as noted on his bank receipts.  It was also Paul Pontioue who said I was taking water from the pond next to my house.  This helped him in buying his election on the HOA and his wife on the CDD.  Now we have a Paul Pontious controlling the Money from Bingo, not paying State or Federal taxes, not giving any money to Public Charities according to state laws for bingo, , buying gas for his car and food for his home, not keeping any records of where the money went?   We have a copy of all his 5 bank accounts and  the $11,000.00 that Jessie Ames gave Paul Pontious is now missing.  Please be aware that this case is coming to an end with the Florida State Attorney in a matter of days and YOU will be connected with this case because  you are so concern about banning me for 4 months from the club house because I left my card with 500 others in the library, you make no sense at all, it is better to lie, steal, call residents names, fixed elections, not pay taxes, no money to public charities, on and on.  You turn your back, you plug your ears with your fingers and placed blinders on your eyes,  you are giving Lake Ashton a very, very,  bad name, soon it will be  all out and Lake Ashton Bingo will be state headlines along with your name, Jan Carpenter    Lake Ashton will become a public dishonest community to live in and everyone across the state of Florida will know about this community and those that live here will be totally ashamed to be part of this community and with absolutely no trust in you.

You know and I know you have no right to ban me from the clubhouse.  It is a public building and everyone has a right to enter the building including me.  Who in hell do you think you are?

CDD Carol Pontious may also be indicted with her husband HOA Paul Pontious and many others.  This will make State headlines across Florida.  I am directed connected with The Ledger and Bay news 9, and they now have all the records  of Paul Pontious misgivings,  and I will make sure that they don’t leave your name out.  It is OK to drive around and shout at the residents, call them names and steal their money for yourself and steal from  the Bingo players and call residents names yet when I left my card with 500 others, it does  no harm to anyone and I get ban from the clubhouse for 4 months.  I hope you and Trish Adams are very happy for what you think is a good judgment call.   I feel like all the other residents here at Lake Ashton,  it’s a dumb and stupid call by the stupid and dumb  management team that this community now has.  You people should pack your bags and find  another  concentration camp where you can order people around.

CDD Brenda Van Sickle called the police on the poker players at the HFC clubhouse, and they found no laws broken, Jack Van Sickle called the police on me looking for my Ak47 in my home and they found none.  You have Carol Pontious who kept records of all the money for Bingo yet she can’t find her books.  You have Margo Stevens, who is just a big joke and at her Margo chat on Monday’s, she doesn’t know  what is going on and gives out false information to the residents.  She, being on the CDD has no right to sit down and talk about this community.   If she has a right to do this then I have a right to set the record straight.

We need to elect more like him.  A heartfelt video with his job on the line.

Former Shell CEO: Get Ready for $5 Gasoline

Gasoline prices are headed for $5 a gallon in many locations in the United States this year, says John Hofmeister, founder of Citizens for Affordable Energy and the former CEO of Shell Oil’s U.S. operations.

Global demand will rise and pressure supply, while U.S. politicians aren't doing anything to ease prices at home such as allowing for significantly more drilling.

"What's really unprecedented is developing countries, particularly China and India, have this insatiable need for more oil and that has not been taken into account when we think of public policy in this country," Hofmeister tells CNBC.

"So while we may be producing a bit more oil in this country, and while demand is down a bit, on a global basis, I'm afraid we face a continuing onslaught of prices creeping ever higher," Hofmeister says. "I hope I’m wrong on this. I'd love to be wrong on this."

The Obama administration has allowed for more drilling to boost supply although red tape often prevents those projects from getting off the ground.

Furthermore, by halting expansion of the Keystone pipeline project from Canada into the United States, the Obama administration further missed an opportunity to increase energy supply, while natural gas production needs to increase as well.

"We have not had the kind of public policy support for domestic natural resource production increases that would carry through into market prices in the United States given the global demand and geopolitical uncertainty that comes out of the [Persian] Gulf daily," Hofmeister says.

Prices may start causing some pain well before summer, or even before Spring Break.

The average price for regular gasoline at U.S. filling stations rose 11.57 cents to $3.5101 a gallon in about three weeks, according to the Lundberg Survey, Bloomberg reports.

Blame refinery closures and downtimes in the United States and in the Caribbean on top of seasonal hikes, while Iran's threats to close the Strait of Hormuz and crimp the world of a crucial supply line has pushed up Brent crude prices, a key unit for European consumers but a driver for energy markets worldwide.

"It is a fact that refiners are more sensitive to what European grades of crude such as Brent do than WTI," Trilby Lundberg, president of Lundberg Survey, tells Bloomberg, referring to West Texas Intermediate, a U.S. crude.
"We are seeing strong dynamics in the crude oil market beyond our shores."

Iran factor

Some experts say should tensions between Iran and the West escalate to the point that the Islamic republic comes closer to developing nuclear weapons and Israel attacks it, oil could shoot up as high as $300 a barrel.

George Friedman of the private-intelligence Website Stratfor, gives the odds of Israel attacking Iran's nuclear technology sites at 25 percent.

An attack would require U.S. military assistance and money — unlikely in an election year.

Plus, Iran's nuclear installations are underground and well-concealed.

High-tech defense systems protect them as well, and if attacked, Iran would likely make good on closing the Strait of Hormuz as well as take out oil tankers in the area.

"In such a circumstance, Israel would find itself as isolated from much of the world as Iran is presently," Friedman tells Barron's.

"Israel may regard a nuclear-armed Iran as an existential threat, but that's not necessarily true of the U.S., EU or most other developed nations. Oil priced at $300 a barrel would be a heavy price to pay for delaying Iran's crossing the nuclear arms threshold by a mere couple of years and giving Israel temporary peace of mind."

Should such a nightmare scenario play out, it would be tough to say how high oil prices would climb, but they wouldn't stay sky-high for long as demand would plummet, others say.

"We would certainly go to a rationing point. I don't think anybody could predict how high we would go and how long we would sustain there. The only break on prices not staying at that level is that every 50 cents up on petroleum prices takes almost $150 billion or almost 1 percent out of GDP," Joe Petrowski, Gulf Oil CEO, told CNBC when asked about the possibility of oil approaching $300 a barrel.

"As you approach $4 or $4.50 you are going to see a consumer that severely cuts back."

Still, expect gasoline prices to climb as the summer driving season approaches.

"With the refinery closings on the East Coast and in the Caribbean and with some financial problems with refineries in Europe, and really nothing we are doing about dampening demand or switching to natural gas in the U.S. and now we are hearing natural gas wells are being shut in, I think we are going to approach $4 this summer," Petrowski says.

On a more refreshing note, the International Energy Agency, meanwhile, says global oil demand will grow by less than 1 percent in 2012, according to Reuters.

The agency has trimmed its growth forecasts several times this year due mainly due to Europe's troubles.

"This month's report dwells on recent economic downgrades, and resultant weaker oil products demand growth for 2012," the IEA says in a monthly report, according to Reuters.

Florida has one-fourth of nations foreclosures
Article Courtesy of The Palm Beach Post
By Kimberly Miller
Published January 19, 2012
Florida's share of the nation's foreclosure crisis increased during the fourth quarter of last year compared with the same time in 2010 as other hard-hit states, such as California, shed some of their housing burden.
According to a report Thursday by the Mortgage Bankers Association, Florida carried 24.2 percent of the foreclosures nationwide, up a percentage point from the end of 2010, while California's foreclosure share dropped nearly 3 percentage points to 10.2 percent.
Economists from the Washington-based group attribute Florida's stubbornly high foreclosure inventory to its judicial foreclosure procedure, which requires a judge's approval for all cases. California is one of 29 states where repossessing a person's home does not have to go through the courts.
"The housing situation in California is turning around much more quickly, and we attribute that to the nonjudicial regime," said Michael Frantantoni, vice president of research for the Mortgage Bankers Association. "A small minority of states is keeping the foreclosure rate much higher than it would be otherwise."
About 14 percent of Florida home loans are in foreclosure, by far the highest in the nation. New Jersey comes in second at 8.2 percent. Of the 16 states with the highest percentages of foreclosures, all but Nevada require a judicial proceeding.
The fight to streamline Florida's foreclosure system and more quickly clear its backlog of an estimated 368,000 cases is raging in Tallahassee, where homeowner advocates rallied Thursday against a bill they fear will reduce homeowner rights.
The proposal (HB 213), which would reduce the bank's deadline to seek a deficiency judgment from five years to two years, has passed through two House committees. It is scheduled to be heard next in the House Judiciary Committee before going to the full floor for a vote.
Rep. Kathleen Passidomo, R-Naples, is co-sponsoring the bill with Rep. Greg Steube, R-Sarasota.
A similar Senate bill (SB 1890) has not been voted on in committee but is scheduled to be heard Monday by the Senate Judiciary Committee.
Passidomo has said the proposal keeps the judicial process but allows uncontested foreclosures or those on abandoned homes to move more quickly through the system.
Opponents say it is more harmful than that because it allows process servers to determine whether a home is abandoned and puts the burden of proof on the homeowner as to why the foreclosure should not go through.
"The Passidomo bill does not guarantee the rights of citizens," said Boca Raton foreclosure defense attorney Margery Golant. "On the contrary, it allows the mortgage servicers more latitude to trample on the rights of citizens."
The Mortgage Bankers Association report did have some good news for Florida. The percentage of homeowners who had missed at least one mortgage payment but were not yet in foreclosure was at 8.63 at the end of the fourth quarter, down slightly from 8.97 during the previous quarter.
Florida's peak delinquency rate was 12.66 percent in 2009.
Nationally, the mortgage delinquency rate is 7.6 percent. That's down from 8.2 percent from the same time last year and from a peak of 10 percent in early 2010. The long-term pre-recession average delinquency rate was about 5 percent.
"The improvements we've seen are clearly tied to the improvements in the economy," said Jay Brinkman, chief economist for the association. "If anything, the delinquencies are improving faster than we are seeing the job market improve."
