I attended the Candidate Forum on Oct 10th. Here are my impressions.
1: I have no attachment to any candidate
2: How could the HOA who did a commendable job in running this event ....permit a ( 4 X 6 ) billboard ... IN THE CLUBHOUSE for 3 candidates, when NO SIGNS ON LA PROPERTY IS PERMITTED ANYWHERE AS STATED IN THE COVENANTS ??
3: I have nothing against Police Officers whether active or retired......HOWEVER....
FORGIVE ME, I WANT MY INVESTMENT LOOKED AFTER BY SUCCESSFUL BUSINESS MINDED PEOPLE....NOT RETIRED COPS. THE WIFE OF THE MAYOR OF LAKE WALES, OR THE WIFE OF..A PRESENT ( HOA BOARD MEMBER ) who I am told is under scrutiny by the law for violations of some kind, while she kept his records.
4: FOR THAT REASON...I WILL PUT MY INVESTMENTS and CONFIDENCE, in the hands of Successful Business experienced people.
5: I will cast my vote for John Chickness, Jo Fuller and Bob Cruz.
6: I expect during my short stay to enjoy the winter, and look forward to the Lake Ashton I invested in to move past its present problems.

I agree we most vote for Chickness, Cruz and Fuller. Together with the Salvins, Rich Earl and Dick Rawles, they can make this a better community. Nobody gives more to the community than these fine people. We can stop Bingo and take over the restaurant. Anybody that gets in our way will be sued and asked to move.
IS THERE CORRUPTION GOING ON IN LAKE ASHTON ?
I attend many HOA meetings. I would like for the HOA president to explain his answer to a resident who asked him for the past Bingo Records during the OCT 10, 2010 HOA meeting at the clubhouse.

When he was asked for the ones PRIOR to JAN 2010, he stated " THEY HAVE BEEN SHREDDED " Shredded ?? That is a violation of FL Statute. Shredding Public Documents is Illegal.
He and the board carried on the meeting as if his statement meant nothing !
I understand there is an ongoing investigation to this blatant cover up for PAUL PONTIOUS , and his CDD candidate wife ( Book Keeper )...
What I cant understand is how can the remainder of the HOA board members remain silent ?
Are they involved ? Is this why Ralph Marino just handed them his resignation after the meeting ?
Time to come clean...That also means...ANY and ALL board members who served during the past 4 years... Look up their names...You will be astonished to find who they are.
HOW COULD THEY TURN A BLIND EYE TO THIS CORRUPTION ?
The time to come clean is now...before the axe falls on the TRUTH... I promise all of you, this will not just be swept under the table and go away !
