Tuesday Fishing Joke "Fishing better than Sex"
When you go fishing and you catch something, that's good. If you're making love and you catch something, that's bad.
Fish don't compare you to other fishermen neither and don't want to know how many other fish you caught.
In fishing you lie about the one that got away. In loving you lie about the one you caught.
You can catch and release a fish, you don't have to lie and promise to still be friends after you let it go.
You don't have to necessarily change your line to keep catching fish.
You can catch a fish on a 20-cent nightcrawler. If you want to catch a woman you're talking dinner and a movie minimum.
Fish don't mind if you fall asleep in the middle of fishing.

Tuesday Golf Joke "cell phone"
There are several men in the locker room of a private club after finishing 18 holes.Suddenly a cell phone that was on one of the benches rings. A man picks it up and the following conversation ensues:
Hello?" "Honey, It's me."
"Sugar!"
"Are you at the club?"
"Yes."
"Great! I am at the mall 2 blocks from where you are. I saw a beautiful mink coat... It is absolutely gorgeous!! Can I buy it?"
"What's the price?"
"Only $1,500"
"Well, OK, go ahead and get it, if you like it that much..."
"Ahhh and I also stopped by the Mercedes dealership and saw the 2001 at a really good price ... and since we need to exchange the BMW that we bought last year..."
"What price did he quote you?"
"Only $60,000..."
"OK, but for that price I want it with all the options."
"Great!, before we hang up, something else..."
"What?"
"It might look like a lot, but I was reconciling your bank account and...I stopped by the real estate agent this morning and I saw the house we had looked at last year ... it's on sale!! Remember? The one with a pool, English Garden, tennis court, acre of park area, beach front property..."
"How much are they asking?"
"Only $1,450,000... a magnificent price, and I see that we have that much in the bank to cover..."
"Well, than go ahead and buy it, but just bid $1,400,000. OK?"
"OK, sweetie... Thanks! I'll see you later!! I love you!!!"
"Bye... I do too..."
The man hangs up, closes the phone's flap and raises his hand while holding the phone and asks to all those present:
"Does anyone know who this phone belongs to?"

Hidden debt shocks New Tampa community

NEW TAMPA | When Jal and Shiraz Irani moved into Cory Lake Isles, they thought they'd found paradise. The developer had lined the streets with miles of brick, planted dense tropical foliage along the winding entrances and created a private beach and a fish-filled lake. The Iranis pay a few thousand dollars a year in community taxes for the amenities. But apparently, that may not be all they have to pay. The couple was stunned to discover recently that the house they bought two years ago carries a massive debt: $23,093.
The Iranis are among 65 homeowners in the northeast Hillsborough development who are on the hook for a $1-million bond debt taken out more than a decade ago by the developer who built the community. The homes are scattered throughout the development and it's unclear why only 65 of the roughly 1,000 are affected.
If the developer doesn't pay, liens can be placed on the homes. And if the owner ever decides to move, it will be virtually impossible to sell the house with a title that doesn't come back clean.
"Obviously, you have to inform the prospective buyer," said Realtor Russ Perkowski. "With as many homes that are on the market, I think a lot of buyers would look for something else."
Embattled developer Gene Thomason has been
To develop Cory Lake Isles, Gene Thomason borrowed $20-million that is being repaid with a tax on the properties. But homeowners say they did not know of another bond he took out, and they could be on the hook if he fails to pay it off.
fighting with residents for at least five years over his handling of the community's finances. For years, homeowners have accused him of mismanaging their money and spending it on personal projects. They have taken their fight to court.
"Just when I was thinking nothing more can surprise me, I am surprised," Shiraz Irani said. "This is shocking."

Monday Golf joke "Golf Ball"
To The Golfer
In my hand I hold a ball,
White and dimpled, rather small
Oh, how bland it does appear,
This harmless looking little sphere.
By its size I could not guess
The awesome strength it does possess;
But since I fell beneath its spell
I've wandered through the fires of Hell.
My life has not been quite the same
Since I chose to play this game.
It rules my mind for hours on end.
A fortune it has made me spend.
It has made me curse and cry.
I hate myself and want to die.
It promises a thing called "par".
If I can hit it straight and far.
To master such a tiny ball
Should not be very hard at all.
But my desires the ball refuses
And does exactly as it choses.
It hooks and slices..dribbles..dies
Or disappears before my eyes
Often it will have a whim
To hit a tree or take a swim.
With miles of grass on which to land
It finds a tiny patch of sand.
Then has me offering up my soul
If it will just drop in the hole.
It's made me whimper like a pup,
And swear that I will give it up
And take a drink to ease my sorrow.
But "The Ball" knows... I'll be back...tomorrow.

Monday fishing joke "A Fishermans Philosophy"
A sure way to get a bite on a slow day is:
Talk about changing spots
Prepare another rod while one is out
Lay your rod down unsecured
Go for a sandwich
Start to pull the boat anchor
Use the worst fly you own
Crack open your first beer
Crack open your last beer
Take notice of the chick on a passing boat, bank or beach
Watch others fishing
Start reeling in your lines at going home time
Give your fishing rod to a female companion or child to hold
When your landing net is out of reach
When you have cast your line over an obstruction
When you line has drifted into impossible weeds
When you turn to look at the sunrise or sunset
Decide that you need to take a leak

HOMEOWNERS MUST GET INVOLVED
Words like "neighborly" and "community spirit" have been replaced with "fining committee" and "enforcement." While in former times neighbors brought chicken soup to neighbors in need, they now serve lawsuits, liens and foreclosures. All under the pretense of "protecting property values" -- one of the biggest fairy tales ever told to homeowners. Truthfully, the only thing that these associations really protect is the income of service providers, such as attorneys and community association managers.
This website is an attempt to help owners living in Florida's mandatory associations to find their way through the maze of rules, regulations and statutes that are often so complicated that even specialized attorneys have a hard time finding the "right" interpretation.
This is an attempt to help owners understand what they are really facing and that the excuse "I don't want to get involved" is plainly ridiculous. All owners got involved the minute they bought their homes or condos, even if they may not have realized it at that time.
Owners desperately need more owner-friendly laws with enforcement and accountability of the people in charge to protect our financial welfare against financial mismanagement, uncontrolled spending, and even clear embezzlement!
The AARP introduced a model statute that would definitely create big steps in the right direction. Please see: AARP BILL of RIGHTS for HOMEOWNERS in ASSOCIATIONS

ON THE COMMONS
Hosted and produced by Shu Bartholomew, "On The Commons" is a weekly radio show dedicated to discussing the many issues surrounding mandatory homeowner associations, the fastest growing form of residential housing in the nation.
Foreclosures are everywhere. Drive through any neighborhood and chances are you will see signs of vacant houses, "For Sale" signs with "Bank owned" riders, homes noticeably neglected and abandoned. The newspapers and other media outlets report on the sheer number of homes that are being foreclosed on. The news on the economy is equally dire. What on earth is going on? Is there a connection between the economy and all the foreclosures?
"On The Commons" this week we are joined by April Charney. April, described as the angel of foreclosure defense by MSNBC and awesome by some of her clients, is a Jackson Area Legal Aid attorney in Florida who has earned the reputation of being the leading expert on foreclosures. She speaks at seminars across the country and trains attorneys to defend homeowners. She is a member of the National Association of Consumer Advocates www.naca.net and was named National Consumer Lawyer of the year in 2007. Please join us "On The Commons" this Saturday, January 17, 2009. We'll talk to April and try to demystify what is happening. We'll also find out what we should do as individuals, and as communities, to protect ourselves and where to find a competent attorney to represent us should we need one. You don't want to miss this one.
