We have $190,000 of our tax money in the hands of the CDD and they don't want you to know about it. They have the bingo Committee with Paul Pontious still in charge who took tens of thousands of dollars from the players and spend it on himself and the friends, thus in turn control the voting here at Lake Ashton. You have Jake the snake who was allowed to place signs all around the club house and a large sign in the bed of his pick-up truck, this is not allow by our covenants. He also went around at the Monday morning coffee meeting and place his election papers on every table calling John Chickness a man that doesn't know what he is doing or talking about. Trish Adams allowed this to happen and here she is complaining about my business card in the library that says MAKING THIS A BETTER COMMUNITY. I guess that don't want a better community, but a very dishonest shut up place to live. They don't want anyone to know what is going on in here that is why you can no longer post your remarks on Lake Ashton June Young official web site. You must shut up or you will be BAN from the club house like they did me. What right do they have to ban me from the club house? This community is tightly control by the management. You can't say nothing, or you will be banned. What kind of a community is this? It says in the covenants it is necessary to protect the health, safety and welfare of other patrons and their guests or to protect the amenity facilities from damage. Where do I fit in? They are in complete control and make no bones about it.

I was in a craft show yesterday at Lake Placid and met a couple from Haines City. The person is a salesperson selling homes. SHE REFUSES TO SELL HOMES HERE.

The agent says this place is so corrupt and dishonest, it is a disgrace to even show or mention this place to a buyer. She wants to make her buyers happy not to put them in hell. I have to agree with the agent. The agent will not be mention. Sue and Mal Molsen dismiss themselves from selling homes here at Lake Ashton 3-4 YEARS AGO. I ask them why? The hot debate of the week: Foreclosure for Peanuts! An association wanted to foreclose on the home of a 81-year old veteran who failed to pay $338 in assessments. Before he knew it, the bill was up to $4,272.24, after adding late fees and legal fees. But the readers of te Orlando Sentinel not only condemned the actions of the HOA board, they as well collected funds to pay off the debt -- and saved the veteran's home. In my opinion it's outright ridiculous to even consider foreclosure for such small amounts. That's why we are in the process of creating the CCFJ Foundation, to provide education, legal help and some limited financial help for owners who are in a bind after not paying small amounts of association fees. Our society should be ashamed to allow such foreclosures.

Please understand what is going on in here. Van Sickle's called the police on me because of my blog. They also called the police on the guys playing poker at the HFC clubhouse. Their blog stop you from posting your remarks on their web site. "Comments by residents" You are not allow to say anything! Shut up. They only tell you what they want you to hear. Now they ban me from the clubhouse for no reason at all. My card was left in the library with 500 others and it said "MAKING THIS A BETTER COMMUNITY" See card below!. I guess they don't want me to spoil their fun! What are they afraid of? The elections we had were fixed. Paul Pontious bank records showed that he stole thousands of dollars, missing, from 50/50 and Bingo, kept no records, paid no taxes, fill up his gas tank, with gas, fill his ice box with food, bought hundreds of T-shirts at top dollar at the Golf house, and took all his buddies out to the Brazilian restaurant at $75.00 a plate by bus, and to many other restaurants also. Now they are on the HOA and the CDD board and are in complete control of the community. This community is going down hill fast.
Now you have Trish Adams who brings in paid vendors from the outside on Mondays Morning Coffee meetings who is related to the developer, who is in complete control of all the activities in the clubhouse. She and her management friends and CDD board get 50% off their meals at the Ashtons. The residents paid the other 50%. Wake up residents and lets tell them its about time we can say a few words. We are all done being silent. She has all these vendors come in on Monday Morning and sell their goods. What a useless meeting and its none of our business she says. Never use to be like this.

Effective today, I am asking all residents to stop going to the Monday morning coffee meetings and Monday night Bingo, the CDD and the HOA meetings. Also avoid going to the Asthons restaurant. Why should we pay the other 50%? United we stand, divided we fall. If we all stand together we can bring this community together again like the good old days.

The Committee on Regulated Industries will hear today community association bill S 680, sponsored by Senator Ellyn Bogdanoff. I guess everybody familiar with the issues of these associations knows that legislative reforms are desperately needed. Just read the headlines of two major Florida newspapers from this weekend:

Homeowners association pursues extreme option -- foreclosure -- against Korean War veteran (Orlando Sentinel)

Naples Estates residents frustrated at 13-year legal fight to purchase community (Naples News)

While the foreclosure could be avoided - not thanks to our government or the laws regulating HOAs, with the outpour of legal and financial help from neighbors and owner-friendly attorneys who were disgusted that something like this can happen in our society.

In the case of the 13-year legal battle we can be pretty sure that most of the retirees will be dead before a solution is reached - after spending most of their retirement life fighting in courts for their dream-home in the Sunshine.

These are the headlines that are making national news. Do you honestly believe that retirees looking to relocate will chose Florida after reading these headlines? This is just one weekend!

This article shows why reforms are desperately needed:
1 in 3 Florida retirees who receive Social Security survive solely on government checks (Sun Sentinel). A wide majority of these retirees live in community associations and can no longer pay the ever increasing monthly dues and special assessments caused by unpaid dues and foreclosures, caused by banks and mortgage lenders dragging their feet. These retirees are losing their homes.

Senator Charlie Dean listened to the outrageous accusations made by retirees about problems in their communities during the meeting of the Marion County Legislative Delegation. Senator Dean expressed his outrage about these abuses and promised to help with legislative reforms.

Group to government: Watch developers (Ocala Star Banner)

At the same meeting an attorney from Katzman Garfinkel & Berger claimed that CAN - the lobbying arm of KG&B -- is a non-profit organization that represents over 60,000 homeowner and condominium associations throughout the state. Not only is that absolutely NOT TRUE, in my opinion they can be happy if they have the actual support of about 600 real people.

CAN (KG&B) and CALL (Becker & Poliakoff) are the driving forces behind this bill, claiming to represent the wishes of community associations. If you really read the bill, you will see that absolutely nothing in this bill will help associations/owners deal with the financial crisis. There are a lot of provisions in this bill that will help attorneys and other service providers, at the expense of your constituents, the homeowners and condo owners.

Please help your constituents by adding a few provisions that will really have an impact on people living in community associations. Your constituents need help, but so far S680 does nothing to help them.

Please read the linked articles and you will realize that these folks really need the help of their Senators.

It said that my privileges here at Lake Ashton has been suspended or in other words "suspension and termination of privileges"and that I was no longer allowed in the Lake Ashton clubhouse. It seems that this Lake Ashton community wants no one to know what is going on in here. This community tell you the news but you can't tell them the news. No one in this community knows what the real truth is.

I feel that my first amendments rights and freedom of speech has indeed been violated. For them to accuse me of placing my business card telling the residents where to go to read the news of this community. This is communism, where they tell you but you can't tell them or else. This clubhouse is also used as a voting place for candidates. I can no longer vote because I am no longer allowed in the clubhouse. My voting rights has been suspended.

There is no argument: Your association is a corporation, meaning a business. Many people buying into these communities don't understand that. But it's easy to explain: If your association fails, so does your investment. Families lost their homes, despite paying every bill they agreed upon, because other neighbors didn't pay and the association couldn't pay the utility bills.

Many owners plainly don't realize what they are getting into when buying a Home/Condo in a community association. The disclosure made to prospective buyers lacks serious facts and many owners only realize that they invested their money in a business -- when they just intended to buy a home for their family -- when it's much too late.

What buyers are usually told is that the association will protect their property values by stopping neighbors from painting their homes in outrageous colors or avoiding rusted-through pick-up trucks being stored on the neighbor's lawn. They are being told that their monthly fees are used for the upkeep, maintenance and beautification of their neighborhood. Or some similar schmooze!

NOTHING IS FURTHER FROM THE TRUTH!

What sellers -- especially developers -- fail to disclose are the many downsides of these community associations -- and I am sure many potential buyers would have second thoughts if they had been told the real facts before closing on their DREAM HOME/CONDO:

Your Home/Condo will be part of a business.
Your Home/Condo will be collateral for any debts incurred by the association.
You will be liable for any deficits caused by the failure of your neighbors to pay their monthly dues.
In many associations, more than 50% of the budget is being spent on management and legal fees, not on maintenance and/or beautification.
If too many of your neighbors fail to pay their dues and the association is unable to pay the utility bills, you and your family will be kicked out of your home, even if you paid all of the agreed upon monthly fees, your property taxes and your mortgage on time.
If you dare to annoy the association board members by asking too many questions, these "neighbors" can fine you for trumped-up charges and place a lien your home -- and foreclose on it.
If the association you are investing in is mismanaged, you pay for the cost of mismanagement.
You actually don't buy a Home/Condo for your family; you invest your life-savings in a risky business.
By buying into a community association you lose many of your Constitutional Rights!

I wonder how many people would still be willing to risk their life-savings, if these facts had been prominently displayed on a disclosure form given ahead of time to potential buyers?

I know that many service providers -- association attorneys and management companies -- will oppose my evaluation of the risks of buying a home/condo in a community association. But even Susan Raphan from the KGB law firm in her latest Sun Sentinel Blog [Community associations: are they businesses?] makes it abundantly clear that community associations are nothing but a business. And you can be very sure that Raphan wouldn't write something like that without prior approval of Donna Berger, her boss. Raphan makes the argument for a different reason, namely to squeeze in some free advertising for the firm that pays her salary, but: BUSINESS is BUSINESS.

Anybody who plans to invest his/her life-savings in some business like a community association might be much better off -- and get a much better return on the investment -- by putting his/her money in a real business, a business that is run by professionals with the intention to make profits for the investors. Please remember these facts: When you buy into a community association, you are putting your life-savings into a homeowners' association or condominium association run by untrained people, guided by professionals that are out to fill their own pockets, often surrounded by fellow-investors that didn't have the money to invest in the first place.

Many families that invested their money in this kind of business have already regretted the moment when they signed on the dotted line. Many families lost their life-savings without fault of their own, because they were bankrupted by a system that is very profitable for the service providers, but detrimental for the finances of the families that were under the impression that they bought a nice home/condo. They found out that they invested their money in a business that definitely doesn�t keep the promises made at closing!

HIGH SCHOOL CLASS REUNION OF A 60+ YEAR-OLD LADY

I had prepared for it like any intelligent woman would.

I went on a starvation diet the day before, knowing that all the extra weight would just melt off in 24 hours, leaving me with my sleek, trim, high-school-girl body. The last forty years of careful cellulite collection would just be gone with a snap of a finger.

I knew if I didn't eat a morsel on Friday, that I could probably fit into my senior formal on Saturday. Trotting up to the attic, I pulled the gown out of the garment bag, carried it lovingly downstairs, ran my hand over the fabric, and hung it on the door.

I stripped naked, looked in the mirror, sighed, and thought, "Well, okay, maybe if I shift it all to the back ..." Bodies never have pockets where you need them.

Bravely I took the gown off the hanger, unzipped the shimmering dress and stepped gingerly into it. I struggled, twisted, turned, and pulled and I got the formal all the way up to my knees ... Before the zipper gave out. I was disappointed. I wanted to wear that dress with those silver sandals again and dance the night away.

Okay, one setback was not going to spoil my mood for this affair. No way!
Rolling the dress into a ball and tossing it into the corner, I turned to Plan B: the black crepe caftan.

I gathered up all the goodies that I had purchased at Saks: the scented shower gel; the body building and highlighting shampoo and conditioner;
the split-end killer and shine enhancer. Soon my hair would look like that girl's in the Pantene ads.

Then the makeup -- the under eye "ain't no lines here" firming cream, the all-day face-lifting gravity-fighting moisturizer with wrinkle filler spackle;
the 'all day kiss me till my lips bleed, and see if this gloss will come off' lipstick, the bronzing face powder for that special glow.
But first, the roll-on facial hair remover. I could feel the wrinkles shuddering in fear.

Okay, time to get ready!
I jumped into the steaming shower, soaped, lathered, rinsed, shaved, tweezed, buffed, scrubbed and scoured my body to a tingling pink.

I plastered my freshly scrubbed face with the anti-wrinkle, gravity fighting "your face will look like a baby's posterior" face cream.
I set my hair on hot rollers.

I felt wonderful.
Ready to take on the world.
Or in this instance, my underwear.
With the towel firmly wrapped around my glistening body,
I pulled out the black lace, tummy-tucking, cellulite-pushing,
ham hock-rounding girdle, and the matching "lifting those bosoms like they're filled with helium" bra.

I greased my body with the scented body lotion and began the plunge.
I pulled, stretched, tugged, hiked, folded, tucked, twisted, shimmied, hopped, pushed, wiggled, snapped, shook, caterpillar crawled and kicked.
Sweat poured off my forehead but I was done. And it didn't look bad.

So I rested. A well deserved rest, too.

The girdle was on my body. Bounce a quarter off my behind?
It was tighter than a trampoline. Can you say, "Rubber baby buggy bumper buns?"
Okay, so I had to take baby steps, and walk sideways, and I couldn't move from my buns to my knees. But I was firm!

Oh no ... I had to go to the bathroom. And there wasn't a snap crotch. From now on, undies gotta have a snap crotch. I was ready to rip it open and re-stitch the crotch with Velcro, but the pain factor from past experiments was still fresh in my mind. I quickly sidestepped to the bathroom.

An hour later, I had answered nature's call and repeated the struggle into the girdle. I was ready for the bra. I remembered what the saleslady said to do. I could see her glossed lips mouthing, "Do not fasten the bra in the front, and twist it around. Put the bra on the way it should be worn -- straps over the shoulders. Then bend over and gently place both breasts inside the cups."

Easy, if you have four hands. But, with confidence, I put my arms into the holsters, bent over and pulled the bra down ...
But the boobs weren't cooperating. I'd no sooner tuck one in a cup, and while placing the other, the first would slip out. I needed a strategy.
I bounced up and down a few times, tried to dribble them in with short bunny hops, but that didn't work.
So, while bent over, I began rocking gently back and forth on my heel and toes and I set 'em to swinging.
Finally, on the fourth swing, pause, and lift, I captured the gliding glands. Quickly fastening the back of the bra, I stood up for examination.

Back straight, slightly arched, I turned and faced the mirror, turning front, and then sideways. I smiled, yes, Houston , we have lift up!

My breasts were high, firm and there was cleavage! I was happy until I tried to look down. I had a chin rest And I couldn't see my feet.

I still had to put on my pantyhose, and shoes. Oh ... why did I buy heels with buckles?

Then I had to pee again. ........So I put on my sweats, fixed myself a drink, ordered pizza, and skipped the high school reunion.

down Wall Street.

Franklin Raines - was a Chairman and Chief Executive Officer at Fannie Mae.
Raines was forced to retire from his position with Fannie Mae when

activities. Raines left with a "golden parachute valued at $240 Million in
benefits. The Government filed suit against Raines when the depth of the

Tim Howard - was the Chief Financial Officer of Fannie Mae. Howard "was a
strong internal proponent of using accounting strategies that would ensure
a "stable pattern of earnings" at Fannie. Investigations by federal
regulators and the company's board of directors since concluded that
management did manipulate 1998 earnings to trigger bonuses. Raines and
Howard resigned under pressure in late 2004. Howard's Golden Parachute was
estimated at $20 Million!

Jim Johnson - A former executive at Lehman Brothers and who was later
forced from his position as Fannie Mae CEO. Investigators found that
Fannie Mae had hidden a substantial amount of Johnson's 1998 compensation
from the public, reporting that it was between $6 million and $7 million
when it fact it was $21 million." Johnson is currently under investigation
for taking illegal loans from Countrywide while serving as CEO of Fannie
Mae. Johnson's Golden Parachute was estimated at $28 Million.

7. All contracts with past and present Congressmen/women are void
effective 1/1/12. The American people did not make this
contract with Congressmen/women.

Congress made all these contracts for themselves. Serving in
Congress is an honor, not a career. The Founding Fathers
envisioned citizen legislators, so ours should serve their
term(s), then go home and back to work.

If each person contacts a minimum of twenty people then it will
only take three days for most people (in the U.S.) to receive

The de-industrialization of America is a national crisis. It needs to be treated like one.

You have the proof, Joe Hunter is nothing but a damn lair, accusing me of something I did not do, and also on the other dates I did not do. In a court of law I would win my case. Judges don't love lairs and nigher do I. It seems you love lairs and believe Joe Hunter but how do you talk yourself out of this one? Do you have the guts to apologize? I don't think so. How can you people sleep at night? Joe Hunter should be fired for not telling the truth, yes fired. How can you have someone on your payroll who does not tell the truth but just hears what Paul Pontious has to say. This is going to be my year where Paul will be arrested and do jail time and be fined. Three investigations are on going with many pages of evidence. Believe me you have not heard the end of this. Your Home/Condo will be collateral for any debts incurred by the association.
You will be liable for any deficits caused by the failure of your neighbors to pay their monthly dues.
In many associations, more than 50% of the budget is being spent on management and legal fees, not on maintenance and/or beautification.
If too many of your neighbors fail to pay their dues and the association is unable to pay the utility bills, you and your family will be kicked out of your home, even if you paid all of the agreed upon monthly fees, your property taxes and your mortgage on time.
If you dare to annoy the association board members by asking too many questions, these "neighbors" can fine you for trumped-up charges and place a lien your home -- and foreclose on it.
If the association you are investing in is mismanaged, you pay for the cost of mismanagement.
You actually don't buy a Home/Condo for your family; you invest your life-savings in a risky business.
By buying into a community association you lose many of your Constitutional Rights!

I wonder how many people would still be willing to risk their life-savings, if these facts had been prominently displayed on a disclosure form given ahead of time to potential buyers?

CDD Meeting

At the last CDD Meeting only about 20 residents shown up out of 2,000. In other words just 1%. Trish Adams was sitting next to George Flint almost holding hands. Paul Pontious, Frank Ota and smiling Joe Ferrieri were there but they were not sitting together or holding hands. It appears they all know something. As I walked out, they were not to happy seeing me and they never looked up and said a word. I guess I spoil their free dinners at the Texas Barzil in Orlando by bus. Carol Pontious looked like she gain weight by eating all that free food they bought with the Bingo money. What a show, I just had to walk out, I just could not take it any more. Talked with a few people and they said if they knew what was going on in here they would never have bought their home here at Lake Ashton. It just too bad that all the news you get from this community is all good. They don't tell you about all the house and car break in's. It just don't happen. Mail gets stolen from mail boxes. The Postal inspector was notify. I can see why people just don't want to know what goes on here and this is a fact.

This brand spanking new Airbus 340-600, the largest passenger aeroplane ever built, sits just outside its hangar in Toulouse , France without a single hour of airtime.Enter the Arab flight crew of Abu Dhabi Aircraft Technologies (ADAT) to conduct pre-delivery tests on the ground, such as engine run-ups, prior to delivery to Etihad Airways in Abu Dhabi .The ADAT crew taxied the A340-600 to the run-up area.

Then they took all four engines to take-off power with a virtually empty aircraft. Not having read the run-up manuals, they had no clue just how light an empty A340-600 really is.

The takeoff warning horn was blaring away in the cockpit because they had All 4 engines at full power. The aircraft computers thought they were trying to take off, but it had not been configured properly (flaps/slats, etc.)Then one of the ADAT crew decided to pull the circuit breaker on the Ground Proximity Sensor to silence the alarm. This fools the aircraft into thinking it is in the air. The computers automatically released all the brakes and set the aircraft rocketing forward.The ADAT crew had no idea that this is a safety feature so that pilots can't land with the brakes on.

Not one member of the seven-man Arab crew was smart enough to throttle back the engines from their max power setting, so the $200 million brand-new aircraft crashed into a blast barrier, totalling it.

The extent of injuries to the crew is unknown due to the news blackout in the major media in France and elsewhere. Because.........Coverage of the story was deemed insulting to Muslim Arabs.Finally, the photos are starting to leak out.

Are you really concerned about North Korea's appointment of the "dear leader", Kim Jung Ill's youngest son to be the new leader of North Korea -- a nuclear power!

After all, Kim Jung Un (pronounced Kim's young-un?) had NO military experience whatsoever before daddy made him a four-star general in the military. This is a snot-nose twerp who has never accomplished anything in his life that would even come close to military leadership: he hasn't even so much as led a cub scout troop, let alone coached a sports team or commanded a military platoon. So, setting that aside, next they make him the "beloved leader" of the country. Terrific!!!

Oh, crap! I'm sorry. I just remembered that we did the same thing here, we took a community organizer, a guy who has never led anything more than an ACORN demonstration; one who has never even worn a uniform, and made him Commander-in-Chief - the leader of this country.
